Lost and Found| Charles and Marie
Things had been rough lately for Charles. Raven and Erik leaving once more , The mess the school had become , and so on. But his one real problem had been with his powers. It had been so long since he truly used them , that it hurt. Hank and him had decided to reopen the school , despite it’s long closing , but to do that Charles needed to get better. Now Charles still drank , just not as much , and the serum from Hank? That… That was no longer. Though Hank was still working on something to help fix his spine or gain him use of his legs. It was harder to do than thought apparently. But Hank still tried when he could and Charles was greatful for that. He was greatful for Hank overall. It was because of him he was able to find this girl. Using his powers and cerebro , he searched out mutants and she was the first to be found. It was a nice Friday afternoon , fairly nice out , when he pulled up to the shop. Hank had driven him there , and helped him into his wheelchair but Charles insisted he was fine from there. He liked to feel like he could do things on his own at times. So Hank waited in the car whilst Charles made his way inside with little struggle. He looked around the shop with a sweep of his blue orbs before they landed on the blonde haired woman. A small smile came on his face as he moved his chair closer to her. ” Perhaps you could. ” He said and offered a hand when he was close enough. ” I’m Charles Xavier. ” He greeted himself.
Marie looked down to the stranger's extended hand. She knew that her powers were controlled while wearing gloves, but she was still afraid. Afraid. She was always afraid of accidentally hurting others with her 'remarkable' gift. She masked her fear and tried to be as optimistic and happy as possible. "I'm Marie Katsaros." She said, finally shaking his hand. Marie couldn't help but notice how attractive the man in front of her was. Of course, after what happened with her first love, Marie swore to herself that she would never be close to another person again. And the man with a lovely accent in front of her was not an exception. Everyday happy couples came into the store. They made her think of what life could have been like if she was normal.
She cleared her throat and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. It was no use thinking of what could have been. "So, what's the occasion?" The blonde asked and moved away from Charles and to a display stand of flowers. "We have tulips and daffodils. Really anything that you could think of." She picked up a red rose and held it in her gloved hand. "You could always go with roses." Her green eyes looked at the flower and back to the man in front of her.
