#deltarune #one other amusing point about seth is that they idolize berdly to a comedically exaggerated degree #which is kinda heartwarming in a universe where literally every other character besides kris treats berdly like a nuisance at best #and a full-on pariah at worst #kris's feelings about berdly are very pointedly left ambiguous #but there has also been an Increasingly Undeniable level of shiptease for them with each new chapter #admittedly I'm biased as a krerdly shipper #but the fandom is so Utterly Polarized on their interpretations of the kris + berdly stuff #that it's kind of a hilarious bit of meta in itself

I will say once again how much the popularity of damien/pip amuses me, because both of them are blatant expies of characters from media that was fairly old even when south park was new.

in damien's case it's roughly 20 years (The Omen was released in 1976), and in pip's case it's roughly 135 years (Great Expectations was published in 1861)

and I dunno, I just think that's Neat!

TIL that neither of the south park rpgs (sot and tfbw) were ever actually officially released in japan. but that there's a fanmade japanese translation patch for the former (and apparently a WIP of one for the latter)

but one of my favorite things about the SoT patch is

apparently butters' Unique Speaking Style was such a challenge to translate that it required its Own Footnote in the "yeah we had to finagle this tl-wise for complex reasons" section.
