Did I really forget to introduce The First One? Gosh am I stupid😅
He is inspired by a one certain moment of the Neverhood chronicles (Hoborg's part), credit for it is on the last picture^^
(A very quickly written) Story:
The First One, as he decided to name himself later, was created and thrown away (for being too ugly to look at) by Hoborg. When The First One landed on a single solid piece of land, he began crying and rolling around, pitying himself for the very upsetting fate he recieved. The tears he produced helped the dirt under him stick to his body, making him larger and larger with every roll. He cried and rolled around for so long, that he ended up being much much larger than his creator after a while.
After a few decades, his self-pity session was interrupted by an unknown voice calling for help. With great difficulty, The First One got up just in time to catch an obscure creature flying by. He carefully placed him on the small piece of ground that was left, analyzing the yellow and blue guy who introduced himself as "King Ottoborg" only a few moments after. He then quickly thanked The First One for saving his life, following it by questioning The First One's sadness. The fact was, that The First One was crying and rolling around for so long, that he forgot what actually made him feel upset. Ottoborg listened to The First One's explanation with understanding and even offered him that he might tell him a few stories to cheer him up anyway. As soon as The First One agreed, Ottoborg began talking about his planet and his sons, about the planets around and the dangerous creatures and finally, about his brothers too. The First One was so fascinated by the entertaining stories, that he didn't even interrupt Ottoborg, resulting in him talking for days without a single break. And The First One loved it.
They took care of each other and kept each other company, growing closer to one another. The First One eventually started seeing Ottoborg as his own dad. Ottoborg couldn't stop talking and The First One listened to every word with amazement, until Ottoborg started talking about his brother Hoborg. It didn't take long and The First One finally remembered what was the reason for his mourning again. It didn't fill him with sadness this time, it filled him with rage. He begged Ottoborg to tell him how to get to Hoborg's planet and Ottoborg told him so, since he passed by it while flying through space. The First One managed to get the small piece of land they were standing on to move and eventually fly towards their destination.
When they finally got there after a few weeks of traveling (and more entertaining stories), The First One asked Ottoborg to wait for him so he can "quickly do something" and come back. Ottoborg agreed and The First One began looking for the castle. A few hoodians tried to ask him about his name or where did he come from, others ran away. But he ignored all of them, not replying to any questions or threats. When he finally found to the castle, he got all the way to the throne room.
But instead of Hoborg, he found someone else, who introduced himself as "Klogg, the first creation of King Hoborg." (In my story line, Klogg is helping Hoborg with taking care of the Neverhood. It is a complicated story, I will try to explain some other day). He explained that king is busy at the moment, but he can consult things with him if it's urgent. The First One's reaction to that was laughter and mocking Klogg, following it by grabbing Klogg by his neck and throwing him on the ground, knocking him out immediately. He left the throne room and continued searching for the king, eventually finding him in his study room.
As soon as Hoborg turned around to look who interrupted him, he recognized his First (with capital F) creation. He managed to dodge the First One's attack before running out of the room to get some help and prepare hoodians for a fight. When the First One got out of the castle, Hoborg was already prepared to fight with a bunch of hoodians. They had weapons, but it looked like The First One didn't even bet an eye when they damaged him. He managed to get through the hoodians towards Hoborg and grabbed him, ready to kill him. But as soon as his grip around Hoborg's neck (neck? Under his head piece?) started becoming a little too strong, he heard a familiar voice shouting at him to stop. Ottoborg was getting bored at his waiting spot, so he has decided to walk around and noticed some kind of a scandal there. And he arrived right on time to stop The First One. After a long monologue and explaining why The First One shouldn't do it, the grip around Hoborg's neck loosened until The First One let go completely. Without a single word, he gave Hoborg one last angry glance before he walked off, Ottoborg quickly following him.
He stayed on the planet after that, mainly to rest. Hoborg tried to offer him a place to live, offering to overlook all the bad things that happened between them and eventually apologizing to him too. And eventually, The First One agreed to stay on the Neverhood, after he helps Ottoborg find a new home (and maybe try to find his sons too, even though meeting Willie was already a very happy moment for Ottoborg.)
