The mother of the Tianheng Thaumaturges’ young heir, Mrs. Yang Yun-Wu!!

After working on this for over 2-3 months.. she’s finally here, Yang Yun-Wu with her finalise design in all of her glory!!!! — @kinun I’m so excited to finally show her off, and I hope she was worth the wait!!^^ ☁️🌫️

Some extra notes:

Her name is spelt as “Yun-Wu” specifically, with a ‘-’ in between ‘Yun’ and ‘Wu’!! and not “Yun Wu” or “Yunwu” (this is because if there wasn’t a ‘-‘ in between them, it would make it seem like ‘Yun’ was her surname (when it isn’t), and I also just think the words look better separated personally.)

Although Yun-Wu’s siblings are biologically her half-siblings, all of them are never refer to as that in universe and are just called “siblings”.

At this current moment; I haven’t defined any sort of relationships that Yun-Wu has with the Feiyuns and what she thinks of them, a lot of stuff is still a big WIP - so I don’t have anything to say definitively right now.

I have a few inspirations that I derived from for her creation, but the main ones were: Toriel from Undertale/Deltarune (with her overall vibe and her (positive) attributes), Inko Midoriya from My Hero Academia (with her appearance, emotional state and relationship with her son), and my own Mother (idk how to describe this one, you’d just have to know lol.)

Like a lot of my AUs; this one isn’t too deep, and more of me just making designs and specific little scenarios - just playing with certain concepts and subjects that I like, with no real deep lore behind it. BUT that doesn’t mean it can’t expand into more deeper ideas!^^

I like to think that Chongyun is immune to the cold, and is unable to tell how cold it actually is - so whenever the two of them go out in winter, or to places that are extremely cold; Chongyun always gets extra cautious in making sure Xingqiu has enough layers on (he’s scared of her getting too cold and sick </3)

HC context: whenever Xingqiu goes into an anxiety filled episode she gets extremely attached to Chongyun, because he’s the only one she feels safe with and feels like he’s being “taken away from her” if they’re separated (due to the constant fear of that happening from her parents), and this is during one of those episodes where she ran away from home to Chongyun’s place in a terrified panic. This is actually my first time trying to make a design for a Genshin character that owns a Vision (all of my other Genshin ocs are just ordinary people with no Visions, which also includes her two younger siblings) - and I tried my very best to make a design for a Vision holder, and this is what I got^^

I don’t think I’m particularly good with making outfits, especially ones that contain any kind of meaning - I just kind of do stuff because I like how it looks (especially for Genshin outfits), but I still try my best to make it fit with the characters and their roles! (along with them following Genshin’s outfit.. principles, wanting to make them as accurate as possible).

I want to explain some parts of her outfit & inspirations:

For her design, when it came to complexity; I went within the context of her being a 4star, because although 4stars are still complex (this IS Genshin after all) - they still have a unique vibe compared to 5stars (along with me wanting her to be just like her parents, who are 4stars).

For the eldest daughter’s design; since she is an inspiring Exorcist in training, I ofc took heavy inspiration from both Chongyun & Shenhe’s outfits (the latter using specifically the designs she had when she was younger), with a little bit of Xingqiu’s outfit as well. She wears an outfit very similar to Chongyun, not only because of uniformity - but also because she’s basically his carbon copy and looks up to him immensely, wanting to be a great Exorcist just like him.

She looks up to her dad a LOT, and I wanted to convey that through their outfits similarities. Along with some similarities to her great-aunt, Shenhe.

As for each layer & detail of the outfit: (going piece by piece)

First off ↑: she wears a full on bodysuit underneath everything, to match with Chongyun’s bodysuit (hc), and Shenhe’s bodysuit. But for her’s in specific; unlike Chongyun & Shenhe’s bodysuits* - her bodysuit covers her from head to toe with the only openings being on her middle-fingers and chest.

*Chongyun’s bodysuit design in my hc; has open shoulders that connect to an open back, with short pant legs, with the gloves as separate pieces. While Shenhe’s bodysuit design as you know; is full on but has openings on her shoulders, back, fingers, hips and toes.

Second ↑: she wears a hoodie similar to Chongyun, but is a capelet(?) instead - with a red tie attached on the front. Then has a pair of puffy shorts that go up to her waist, with [that cloth thing] attached to them (on the front and back) also similar to Chongyun’s pants - with a belt on top of it, with a Cryo!Vision attached to it, again similar to Chongyun’s (she takes a lot from him lol).

The patterns being displayed here are not finalise, just placeholders to show that there is supposed to be patterns on these two areas (the sides of the shorts also have patterns).

And third ↑: on both of her wrists she wears bandages, with a red bracelet on her left (friendship bracelet between her siblings). Then has a red braided garter on her left thigh, with a tassel attached to it (matching tassels with her parents and siblings) - and finally; she has thick legwarmers that were gifted by her little sister, who made them herself (wanting her older sister to keep warm).

Andddd.. that’s everything!!^^ this is pretty lengthy, but I wanted to explain and describe parts of the outfit bc I like doing that (this is also mainly for my moot anyway, teehee^^) - but yeah, I’m very proud of this design and it’s details <3
