So...
Mary and Nyxaria are canonically siblings But Mary doesn't know that. Because Nyxaria [REDACTED] by a [REDACTED] before Mary was born.
Nyxaria now without [REDACTED] ended up living a completely different life than what was originally meant for her.
As time passed, she became more unstable and emotionally distant, even if deep down she still wanted connection.
Eventually, after a series of events that completely changed her life, Nyxaria was no longer the same person she once was.
This is where things start getting complicated.
Nyxaria later became connected to Mary in a way neither of them fully understood.
For reasons I can't reveal yet, Nyxaria feels an intense need to protect Mary, even when her methods are unhealthy, obsessive, or destructive.
Mary herself is a very important character in the lore.
She struggles with a lot of personal issues, isolation, and things she doesn't fully understand about herself or her own past.
A lot of the story revolves around themes like:
identity, grief, memory, unhealthy attachment, religion and guilt,cycles repeating themselves
Nyxaria is not exactly a villain, but she also isn't a hero.
She's more like a tragic character whose life was shaped by things far beyond her control... while also making choices that only made everything worse.
