Rocket, after realising that he's started to hear less in one ear, gets scared as to when it develops further and he can no longer talk to Zuka and Sword normally. Zuka suggested learning sign but Rocket is a bit hesitant, not wanting to admit that he's scared. Zuka having to reasure him and even drags Sword into the lessons just to motivate Rocket even more 🥹⁉️

Depending on how good the dexterity on his prosthetic is, he'd probably have to learn how to sign with his left (non-dominant) hand just so he really gets a feel for it.

Unlike Rocket, who has Zuka to tell him that "oh yea youre actually shouting rn lol", I feel like Boombox's friends just assume he's energetic all the time. Our friend is so fun! He's always so hype to be around! Like he never runs out of energy! All the while Boombox is already struggling to keep up because he's unconsciously putting more strain into his vocal cords compared to what an average Inphernal.

He does eventually figure this out when Rocket/Sword point it out to him that "dude I think you're a little hard of hearing". Boombox has a bit of trouble learning sign but doesnt give up on it.

Though after this he starts using his visor to communicate easier things like "ok!" "Sorry!" "Thank You!" Because he's become more conscious of how loud his voice actually is. Probably started feeling bad because he thinks others think of him as annoying due to how loud he is.

His friends do reausre him that its all ok and they dont find him annoying, even helping him out with practicing sign and learning a bit just so he doesn't feel alone www 💐
