oh, you’re one of those. it honestly terrifies me that girls can listen to a full documented murder without flinching. every time i’ve listened to one of those podcasts i’ve had to triple check that i’ve locked all the doors & go to bed with a feel-good comedy or the homeward bound theme tune as background noise to lull me into a sense of security. can’t you like… listen to happy hour or something? problematic as trisha paytas may be, the frenemies podcast was elite. not a single braincell just vibes & unintentional comedy gold.

i’m not one of those. i said that i enjoy listening to them a lot, but i never said that i don’t flinch while listening to them. i don’t know if it makes sense and it probably sounds super weird, but there’s just something so fascinating about most of these cases that i just forget about the scary part after a while and not focus on that anymore. okay but does listening to the homeward bound theme actually work? because i actually choke up every time i hear the music. not sure that’d help me. happy hour? never heard of that one. i’ll have to check what it’s about, and give it a try if i like it. frenemies was indeed elite, gotta give you that. too bad they decided to end it. 

do it! honestly they are pretty accurate! aquarius? interesting… what i know about you guys is you are super into ghosting for some reason. you wouldn’t bother me cause you are never a bother babe. ugh i know! i play a little investigator myself. 

Hahaha, I pretty much listen to the same podcasts, just different names but the contents are the same? Which is, I know, absolutely ridiculous because it’s just double the info. “ Morbid ” and “ Crime Junkie” ? I don’t think I’ve actually heard through. I’m gonna check them out. Are they all on Spotify? Please tell me they are, haha! And I also love Supernatural stuff so those are all awesome suggestions. Do you like watching, you know, paranormal stuff on YouTube? Like, people going on trips and stuff like that? Because I love it myself. Oh, you should definitely check it out. I love how it’s so female empowerment and just… They’re sooo damn real. And it’s great to listen to if you miss your friends. It’s like a convo with your girlfriends, you know? I’m Alisha, by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you.

oh please, don’t say that. it’s not ridiculous at all, and yes, i’m just saying this because i’m the exact same way. all the podcasts i listen to have the same content but different names, so you’re not alone with this. they’re both so good, definitely worth checking out if you’re into crime stories. yes! i use the podcast app that’s on my iphone to listen to them, but i’m pretty sure they are both on spotify too. i’m just not sure if ‘real ghost stories online’ is on spotify as well. yes! i love that as well. i’m a big fan of ‘buzzfeed unsolved’ actually. i know that ryan and shane no longer do the show, but i loved watching their supernatural cases, and the true crime ones as well. do you have a favorite channel to watch for supernatural videos? oh! podcasts like that always make me want to join in on the conversation, which sucks because i never get an answer, hah. it sounds like a podcast right up my alley though. i think i’ll go and download the first few episodes right now, so i can listen to them on my flight later this week. it’s so nice to meet you, alisha. i’m maria. 

I take it that you’ve already listened to Crime Junkie, then? That one’s my favorite, so if you haven’t listened to that one yet – run, don’t walk! I also just downloaded a ton of new audiobooks for all my flights in the coming months, so if that’s your thing, I can definitely share some recommendations?

i have, yes! pretty sure i know almost every episode. ‘crime junkie’ along with ‘morbid’ are my two all time favorite true crime podcasts. i’d love some audiobook recommendations though! i’ve always wanted to listen to one, just haven’t been able to find one that sparked my interest. so any and all recommendations are welcome.

oh god, yeah. i get that. i was never really afraid or hesitant to go out alone at night until i started listening to true crime podcasts. now i constantly look over my shoulder to see if someone is following me and triple check that i’ve locked the car door. you’re right. people are super untrustworthy these days. it’s best not to trust anyone. make sure to listen to it with caution though. it’s not the easiest case to listen to. you know what? that sounds like a great idea. i’m sure we’d have a blast.

All I can say is I am hungry and I would like to explore around and try different foods so if you’re feeling hungry too and need something to do today come with me and let’s go eat. I’ll pay for it because that’s how serious I am. Now come on let’s have a Lauren and you day!

i’ve been dying to find someone to try out different foods with me and a lauren and me day sounds like a lot of fun, so count me in! what kind of food should we try first? is there anything that you’re really craving right now? 

on spotify, yes! and that is exactly how i know everything about capricorn. you just search for your sign and you will find some. it gives you daily updates, love it. it should be under “capricorn today”. just replace capricorn with yours. they really are, right? i love making theories on who the murderer really was, specially for unsolved cases.

Oh yeah? Do you have any good podcast suggestions? I have been trying to find something to listen to, but I haven’t had much luck, if I’m being honest. I love listening to podcasts and I think my favorites are crime related ones too. It’s just so interesting and fascinating, you know? I do have a suggestion, though it’s more two women, who are amazing by the way, and you just … you can relate to them a lot. At least I can. “ Confident Collective ” is the podcast –– you should definitely check it out. 

i’m not the best person to ask for suggestions, because the podcasts i listen to are pretty much all the same just with different names, but let me still suggest some though. ‘morbid’ is amazing, and so is ‘crime junkie’. those are by far my two most listened to true crime podcasts. ‘real ghost stories online’ is amazing too. it’s not a crime related podcast, but it talks about ghost stories and supernatural encounters that people have had. super interesting and  just as fascinating as the crime related ones. ooh, i’ve actually heard of that podcast before, just haven’t had the time to check it out just yet. i’ve heard a lot of amazing things about it though, and since you suggested it just now, it’ll definitely have to be the podcast i listen to next. 

i coincidentally got into them not too long ago! always loved true crime, though. i was a more avid watcher of documentaries, shows and some youtube accounts, but podcasts have been so much more convenient, especially when i’m super busy. i’ve been listening to the ‘suspect’ podcast and also ‘morbid’! i might check out ‘down the hill’ next, got chills down my spine when i read up on it. now you’ve gotta get me some recs! it’s always nice to meet someone else that listens to them. maybe, just maybe… podcast hang out one day, we just need oversized tshirts, sweats and a pint of ice cream for each of us, then we’ll be ready to go.

those are some amazing recs! i’ve listened to some episodes of the ‘morbid’ podcast already, but i’ll have to check the other ones out for sure. especially ‘down the hill’, because if you say you got chills down your spine when you read up on it, i just know that it’ll be perfect for me. i love the podcasts that make you feel this way. as for my recs? lately i’ve been listening a lot to ‘casefile’ and ‘the last podcast on the left’. ‘wine & crime’ is amazing too. it’s not as serious as most of them are though and more of a true crime/comedy podcast. still really good though. oh, i agree with you! it’s super nice when you meet someone that listens to them as well. especially if that someone is into the same kind of podcasts that you are. a podcast hang out sounds like the perfect idea! we’ll have to do this sometime soon. maybe once your tour has finished? because you’re currently on tour, right? or when you’re on a break. i’ll even bring the ice cream, and matching oversized tshirts with some kind of podcast related slogan on them. can you tell that i’m way too excited for this to happen now? 

I have to say that I haven’t really listened to one. Not a whole series of them. Maybe one or two but I can’t remember what ones. I don’t think people have moved on though. I do hear about people promoting ones so its not something that people don’t listen to anymore. It is great to meet you, by the way. I’m Harry.

Sarah: I enjoy a good romance or a fantasy novel. Or something that combines both. I also love light reads with humor etc. Chick lit even though I don't like that term
