Giving alms, sai bat, or tak bat. A ceremony which takes place every morning at dawn in Luang Prabang, Laos. I remember hearing the sounds of bells, gongs, and chanting at 4 am. A treasure to witness and a pleasure to give. All the surrounding temples and the young monks walk the streets of this small city, barefoot, in colorful robe to receive rice from the community and visiting tourists.
