Don't come here for a business meeting even if it's at the heart of the business district unless you are alright with the next table hearing the details of your deal. I'd forgotten about the German Club but after all these years it's still so good!! Love, first and foremost, the beer on tap, even if the choices don't include dark beer. Love the old school ambiance, even if I cracked up in the elevator because the "Penthouse" is just past the 4th floor. Love the goulash and pork knuckles. And loved the yuppie German crowd. *The German Club is at Eurovilla II on Rufino near cor Legazpi.

William Mahi to open his resto at the Fort this December ...

Was in Baguio last Nov 4-6 and my latest winner discovery was Farmer's Daughter beside the cultural village Tam Awan. Hard to describe location but they are on Waze! They serve authentic Ifugao food. We had smoked pork and smoked beef that was beyond amazing. We also had dinakdakan, a kind of pork kinilaw, and pinikpikan, a chicken stew whose broth is made more succulent through the osmosis of a chicken's coagulated blood. Best of all, they welcome dogs! Can't wait to go back!

Props to El Kusinero Claude Tayag who was a big hit at an Embassy Cook-off in Washington DC, showcasing Pampanga's bringhe using available Philippine ingredients in the US. He is back and brought home the People's Choice Award 🏆 Bringhe is the Pampanga version of paella/arroz valenciana.
