Jesus Is Calming

Two sides of Joseph Christiansen. Whatever you think of him, he’s a good dad, ok.

Mat seemed nervous. Which wasn’t abnormal but he thought they had gotten past the freshness of their friendship. Maybe they hadn’t? He glanced to his coffee. “I think I’m okay for the moment, thank you though.” He smiles to him. This thumb stroking the side of Mat’s fingers. He hadn’t even noticed that he was doing said motion just yet.

Joseph follows even as some other church goers seem upset. Speaking harshly among one another. Joseph smiles to them. “Now now. Don’t be angry.” He assures the people as he look to them. “I’m sure there is a purpose for this. God has a plan after all.”

He walks with the man and sits in the back of the car. He looks up when he spoke again and smiles. He shifts for the officer to assist him as best he can by fulfilling his request. “Might I ask why your search lead you to me? Or am I not allowed in to such information?”

“Thanks, pal,” Dick said, pushing in the seatbelt before he moved round to the front of the car, getting in the drivers seat and starting the ever-so-uncomfortable drive towards the station.

The mention of doughnuts makes him grin wide. Trotting over to the end that held home made breakfast treats. “Lets see.” He hums as he looks down at the selection. He made so many sometimes he forgot which were done for today.

“I have cinnamon glaze. Blue berry cake. Oh.” He leans over the counter. “The one at the bottom is my favorite. It has a vanilla filling to it. Very sweet and has an almost cake batter like consistency to it. But I also have glazed and chocolate if you’d rather go more original.”

“Oh my God…” Dick let out as he was listed off the different kinds of doughnut that there were. He wasn’t planning to spend all that much - he couldn’t spend all that’s much - but now he wanted one of everything. 

“Jeez pal, it all sounds so good, it’s almost torture,” Dick said, biting his lip as he thought, glancing over the doughnuts, struggling far too much to make a simple choice.
