so mia works as a barista in the hospital cafe. she’s worked there since she was in college at the university of pittsburgh because it pays surprisingly well and she loves her coworkers and it’s not too far from her apartment.

she first meets both dennis and trinity during their first shift separately when they pop into the cafe for a special “first shift” deal the cafe runs as a sort of “morale booster” — one small drink of your choice and a small snack box for free. trinity makes a joke about her morale really being boosted by tiny food and drinks which makes mia laugh, while dennis comes through and is extremely grateful for the deal. mia thinks both of them are cute but none of them really make a lasting impression on each other.

one day, mia burns her hand pretty bad and ends up having to go to the emergency department to get it taken care of. because she’s been so many people’s personal caffeine and snacks dealer and just generally a breath of fresh air before and after rough shifts, they triage her super quickly and dennis takes her case. he’s definitely grown up quite a bit since the last time their paths crossed and mia feels a little smitten as dennis speaks softly to her and wraps her hand up so gently, but she doesn’t tell him. she knows patients hitting on doctors is weird and generally unwanted. however, having time to talk to each other helps them get more familiar with each other, and he starts popping into the cafe in the mornings to see her.

which means trinity does too since they’re a bonded pair, and she’s wanted to get closer to mia too after learning how cool she is through little mentions from dennis. (and he insists he is not into mia and even if he was, it would be none of trinity’s business!) trinity — along with dennis — gets added to mia’s “secret” delivery list so they see her even more often and finally they all exchange numbers and end up in a group chat. trinity and mia text the most, and end up developing a little flirtation.

trinity asks mia out first. when mia shows up to trinity’s apartment for their date, dennis opens the door, and mia learns that they’re roommates. dennis has no idea mia is showing up for a date. mia’s conflicted because she likes dennis too and has been leading him to believe that’s the case and dennis is conflicted because he always denied having feelings for mia to trinity and trinity is conflicted as she sees the expressions on both dennis and mia’s faces.

it’s definitely kind of awkward for awhile as trinity and mia’s relationship progresses and dennis kind of stops hanging out with them. trinity realizes both dennis and mia are just kind of Bummed without being in each other’s lives and trinity proposes something insane and so unlike trinity that it shocks both of them, but big-hearted trinity hates to see both of her favorite people suffering and if there was anyone else she would trust to treat mia right, it’s dennis.

so they all sit down and discuss their boundaries and what dennis and mia being together would look like and what trinity and mia being together would look like and what it would mean for all of them if things went south and they figure out what works for them.

May I pretty please ask about your girl Josephine Riley and her relationship with Rosalie and Emmett?

of course you can !!! this will probably be more detail than you wanted but i was elected mayor of yap city for a reason.

so josephine is bella’s next door neighbor and the daughter of the clallam county sheriff, hank riley. (fc milo ventimiglia)

her story starts when bella moves back to town and they have a somewhat awkward reunion due to bella having just fully ghosted josephine after she stopped visiting forks altogether, (she and bella grew up together, they and jacob were pretty much inseparable as kids.) but they end up rekindling their friendship.

somewhere in between bella becoming interested in edward and fixing her friendship with jacob, josephine’s dad gets attacked while on duty. he’s kept in the hospital for a long time and isn’t allowed visitors. josephine is left alone and is frequently on the verge of a freakout as he’s the only parent she has left. in this time, it’s clear she’s being taken care of (waking up to breakfast already made, permission slips signed, bills still paid, gifts left in her locker) but she can’t tell by who — but the air always smells like very familiar perfumes and colognes.

eventually hank returns home but he’s… different, and a little more reclusive, and starts spending an obscene amount of time with the cullens — and eventually he ropes josephine in on this, too.

so josephine goes over to the cullens for dinner, and ends up having a really nice time. she helps with making dinner while her dad joins carlisle in his office, makes some nice small talk with the rest of the family, and she’s invited to sit in between rosalie and emmett (their request) at the table.

it’s clear there’s a vibe coming from the two of them, and josephine pieces together that they’re the ones who have been taking care of her.

a lot of their dynamic from then on is very acts of service based, especially with her dad spending so much extra time with carlisle. it’s kind of a struggle for josephine because she’s so guarded but rosalie and emmett are very open with their flirtations and their feelings. if josephine finds something at a store that she likes but can’t afford, it shows up at her home the next day. if she decides to skip out on something because she doesn’t have a way to get there, emmett or rosalie pull up in her driveway.

rosalie and josephine’s relationship is definitely rooted in friendship — sleepovers, shopping, going out for lunch, doing homework together, deep talks at late hours. josephine likes thet rosalie seems to have so much life experience despite being so young. rosalie only calls her josephine.

emmett and josephine are just so golden retriever x black cat. some frat bro x nerd girl type shit. josephine secretly finds him super funny and endearing, but she’d never tell him. he spends a lot of his time trying to make her laugh or showing off for her. emmett only calls her josie.
