my garth warrior cat 💙💙💙 his name is smokefur but he makes everyone call him dreamweaver. he claims to be the voice of starclan, or actually even better than starclan, and hes "always receiving visions too harrowing for any normal cat to comprehend"....... his whole thing is he actually Can see a (dark forest cat posing as) starclan cat but because its a she-cat he ignores her and pretends she doesnt exist/doesnt know what shes talking about. @spitfirepaperweight awwww terry cat would be so cutes too actually must consider this... he could even be named finch...

most criticism i've seen of the garth marenghi books is essentially "the book is bad and that's the joke but the joke goes on for too long" and i think you NEED to learn to enjoy these books unironically too. i'm genuinely invested in this stupid shit and i know it's A Comedy And It's Not That Deep but you really get more enjoyment out of it if you can love it beyond the joke

i like to imagine george was troubled as well, but while terry reacted by absorbing himself in his fictional worlds and cutting everyone off, george was extroverted and liked to go out and party and probably did drugs but he also Tried to be a good guy and had a job and was decently liked (not enough to not get murdered LOL)
ive seen several reviewers and interviewers describe terry as "pompous" or self-absorbed in a similar way to garth, and i just don't see that in him at all!! terry never wrote for fame or excess money, he wrote for himself and remained withdrawn and secretive even with fans. none of his actions in the film are born from ego… he is desperate and broken and trying to stay afloat so that he can repair his late brother's car. that and his writing is all he has, and his writing is failing him
