Since Ruby had started at Monarch University in the past month, she had spotted her ex-boyfriend around campus and she was certain he’d spotted her too. It was an unspoken agreement that they avoided each other. She knew how her anger could be and in the end, that had ended them. She didn’t need to recall those memories. 

However, when the lift doors opened and he was stood in there, she felt like she couldn’t simply turn and walk away now. Instead, she silently walked in and pressed the button for the next floor up. It wasn’t her floor but she figured it would be better to get out and walk up the stairs than deal with this interaction. The lift started to move and then simply stopped. Her gaze looked at the doors that weren’t opening and then to Marcus when she realised they were now stuck. “You have got to be kidding me…” Ruby pushed off the wall to walk over to the panel and press the panic button. This was more than enough of a reason to panic.

It was no secret that Marcus and Ruby avoided each other, their breakup had been a mess and he wasn’t the type to dwell of bad memories. Instead, he found his way into other peoples beds and had his fun on his own, and he was much more careful about who he let around his daughter.

The day had gone well, he was glad to be away from home for a bit and Zoey was with a babysitter which meant he could really have some fun. He was on his way back up to his room when the elevator stopped and on the other side of the doors stood his ex, but she kept her composure and didn’t talk to him, which he was grateful for. He was also grateful that she was only going up one floor, which meant this would only be for a second, or so he thought. When the elevator stopped he felt his heart sink, watching her as she hit the panic button. “Looks like you’re stuck with me.”

where: the hot tub 

being in a crammed bus full of people didn’t do wonders for asher’s nerves, so the minute he got off he practically made a beeline to his room. he had now been there for a few hours and spent his time roaming around the lodge; but now he was about half a bottle of vodka in, and officially bored. so, he texted the one person he knew could guarantee him a good time. his fingers tapped on the screen of his iphone as he typed up a message to marcus, suggesting that the other should meet him at the hot tub, with the promise that drinks would be included. 

“well, if it isn’t the one person i actually want to see right now.” a sly smirk formed on asher’s lips as he approached marcus by the deck, bottle in hand. his eyes slowly traveled down the others body, taking another shot of alcohol before handing it over. “thanks for meeting me. you’re a hard man to track down, booth.” he spoke quietly, taking a few steps closer, enough to officially close the gap between the two men. he pressed his lips onto the others, kissing him momentarily before pulling away and handing the bottle of vodka over.

Getting a babysitter for this trip had been a nightmare, but thankfully his neighbour agreed and he promised Zoey he’d call her every night before bed, so now here he was. He’d spent most of the day wandering around on his own, though the incident with Ruby in the elevator was fresh on his mind as well. Still, the male needed a distraction, and when his phone buzzed and he saw the message, he knew he’d found a perfect one.

Marcus had agreed to meet by the hot tub, and he was there shortly after they’d agreed to meet. As soon as he saw Asher, a smirk of his own formed on his lips, watching the man make his way closer. “The one person? You mean I’m your favourite?” He chuckled, especially after the other said he’d been hard to track down. The man was greeted with the kiss and he happily kissed back before taking the bottle and brining it to his lips to take a long swig.

Zoey was walking happily alongside him as they made their way down the street, the little girl was all done up in her ballet clothes as they walked towards her dance studio. Marcus was smiling as he listened to her go on about how excited she was for her class, when he noticed the male ahead of him with a small child who was crying. “Hey mate, you good?” He asked as they approached him. “Need a hand?”

After a few drinks, Marcus couldn’t help but smirk to himself as he saw the blonde walk into the bar. He pushed away from his seat, walking over and slinging an arm around the girl. “Well hey gorgeous, what brings you in tonight?” He said, his tone light as he looked at her.

Marcus lifted a brow as he looked at the other man. “Dude, why do you look like you haven’t slept in a week?” He asked. “I mean, I have a kid and I look better than you.” The male teased.

Marcus had dropped Zoey off at her friends house for a sleepover, meaning he had the night to himself. Normally, he’d go home and drink by himself, or call one of his hookups to come over, but tonight he felt like going out. So now the man was at the bar, a beer in his hand as he looked around, turning to look at the man next to him. “Not as busy as it usually is here tonight, hey?”

Calliope had gone to a bonfire party at the beach  and was sat on a lounger watching the party while she smoked up. She spotted a guy walking with a bottle of some form of alcohol which made her lean forward. “Hey, buddy. Fancy doing a trade? I’ve got some vodka or some weed for some of your liquor?” @marcusbooth​

Marcus was not one to miss a party, especially not on the beach. He had a bottle of rum in hand, which he’d been drinking from all evening. Now as he walked around the bonfire he heard the girl speaking and he turned to her. “You want to trade weed for rum? I mean, fuck yeah, why not.”
