      colby’s eyes narrowed and she had half the mind to slap marcus’ hand away but she decided against it for the moment. ‘ that would depend. are we talking real dessert or what you have in your pants? ‘ she raised a brow as she tilted her head before reaching forward to grab her milkshake off of the table.

“hmmm.” marcus hummed, leaning forward his eyes never left hers. “colby, we both know the answer to that.” then his gazed flickered down to her lips before going back up to her eyes. “so, what do you say?” he rose from his spot, sliding out of the booth so stand in front of her. “lets get out of here.” it may have been mid day but that didn’t really matter to him when it came to colby. digging a hand into his pocket, he pulled out his wallet and pulled some money out and set it on the table near her plate. he could be a gentleman sometimes-- although paying for this meal was just a way to persuade her to join him than to be a gentleman.

      ‘ how many years in this town and you’d think i’d learn that the diner food always sucks. ‘ which was really no secret but it was one of the cheapest places to get something to eat which was why colby found herself seated in a booth. at least they had good milkshakes and desserts. she was sure that was about the only thing saving this place.

marcus laughed, shaking his head a little. “complaining about the food? again?” he asked before stealing one of her fries and flashing a smug grin her way. “we could always just get out of here-- have dessert at my place.” he popped the fry into his mouth, he winked at her.
