a poem for a kiss

"I wanted to tell you something, but I can't find the time. You're always busy." He mumbled as the breeze of the broken summer sunset licked both our hairs.

"I'm sorry. You know how things go." I answered. Readying myself for a full impact from your words. I knew something was up. Something was hiding in your mouth, refrained by your ears. But finally, maybe you decided that this was the night. This was the time when your courage finally sprung out of your teeth.

"The only conversation we have are greetings of a pleasant morning and loving good night. I don't deserve it to be honest." His tone was cold. Colder than the earth which we lay on. "I don't understand, but I try every night. You are always so distant. I haven't felt more alone." He continued.

I thought of an answer. I am always ready for an answer, even when this was one of those times which you do not actually answer to converse, this was that time when you answer just for the sake of being able, not caring about clarification. I can answer, but not tonight. Tonight I let you win. Tonight, you win.

"Answer me." His voice was soft with a hint of anger, madness, even cruelty. Yet, his voice was still sweet.

I just sighed without looking at him. I let myself fall looser to the soil and just closed my eyes. I know that this will be the end. This is the final talk. This is the last of the last.

"I don't love you anymore. I thought unloving someone is impossible yet we're here. I'm sorry." His words were thin, almost sounded like whispers. "I hope all the best for you." These last words sounded thinner than a whisper.
