“Yep! Don’t worry, I’m not offended. I’m not one of those people who would flip out because you don’t know, it’s quite nice really. I certainly don’t mind it. Fighting? See, I don’t really watch that.” Aurora nodded, “Well, I don’t judge but I’m in a great position where I go to lots of different cities for work.”

“I’m sure it is. Having that many eyes on you makes it difficult to get alone time sometimes. Do you even get alone time? I’m almost surprised you don’t have the paparazzi on you right now. Oh, well, yeah. I’m a fighter so of course I would be into those things. You not being into those things makes sense.” He shrugged. “Nice. Where have you been?”

“Well, that’s really not the same for me. Well, those people are probably brave, which makes them stupid. I certainly wouldn’t mess with me.”

“So it does take a lot for you to dislike people then? I’m shocked. Brave, stupid. It’s the same thing around here.”

javier: it's not as easy as it looks.

javier: well with everyone else i just don't say anything to them in the first place.

marco: yeah i know

marco: you need people javi

javier: that's not true.

javier: i tell you things without you having to be rude to me.

javier: i've been seeing my therapist.

javier: she's mean as fuck, but doesn't let me get away with shit.

marco: good

javier: you're right about that.

javier: i don't know what to talk about. i'm sorry for bothering you.

“Yeah, but let’s be fair here, most of the time someone says they’ll do something, it’s all bullshit. I mean, you word practically means shit in this town. But it’s good to see it obviously means something to you, or you wouldn’t have come.” Tino chuckled a bit at Marco’s next question. “This place is all right. Not my favorite place, but it’s all right. Plus, my guys and I hang out here a lot.” The mob boss gave a small shrug as he explained. “Oh yeah? Where would you have picked? These kinds of places are just easier to talk our kinda business, if you know what I mean.”

“Do you think people can fly?” It was obvious Lennox had already had a bit too much to drink, if her slurred words and glazed eyes were anything to go by – plus there she was, barefoot and on her tiptoes, standing on a bench, half empty bottle in hand. One wrong placement of her foot and she’d fall, yet the brunette couldn’t help it – thankfully, it wouldn’t be too big of a fall if it were to happen. “Do you think— if I jump, will I grow wings and fly?”

“Har-dee-har, aren’t we just a comedian these days.”, she spoke sarcastically, shifting her weight from foot to foot.  “And your Mom would’ve been better off trying to some plasma or something; Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, cutco knives - they’re all ‘get rich quick if by quick you mean a thousand years’ schemes.”

A quick glance around and thankfully her sing-song Avon pitch hadn’t attracted any unwanted attention - though, if she had to guess, sirens would probably be the only thing that got this neighborhood up and going anywhere in a hurry.  “Heard that my favorite kingpin was back in town - thought I’d pay you a little visit.”

"I like to think I'm always funny, Jess." Marco only shook his head at the suggestion. "Oh no, she just wanted to try it once. She doesn't really need to sell it. But she was really good at it. Trying her own product was terrible. Never get high on your own supply, right?" His eyes followed the directions hers were looking in for a second. Eyebrows furrowed in confusion, he held a hand out. "Pay me a visit for what?" He clearly knew so he directed her into the apartment and closed the door behind them. "I don't got anything but weed on me right now. I kinda got a roommate I gotta worry about now."
