Rory: I’m fine!

[ten minutes later]

Rory: Are you alright? Is Gen alright? The Duchess??? I know there was gunfire...

Rory: Marco?

Marco: I am fine, just with the Duchess now. Gen was looking for you, but she was fine as well.

Marco: Yes there was gunfire and we are still trying to figure things out.

Gen wasn’t one for these big parties, but she knew Marco was–and even if he wasn’t, his job didn’t give him much choice. So if she had to endure one of these, at least she could do it with him. When he came back, Gen practically sighed in relief at seeing the drinks in his hand, but as she reached for one he pulled it away from her, practically making her pout– until she heard his offer. Raising a brow at him, she leaned into his space, “You give me way too much credit if you think I care what anyone here thinks.” she murmured, keeping her eyes up on him as she took both glasses away from him to put them down before she reached up to cup his face. Gen tugged him down while she leaned up on her tiptoes, meeting him halfway in a deep, slow kiss, her fingers sliding back into his hair and twisting a bit into the strands in a way she knew he liked.

Gen did exactly what he wanted and he knew she would, because that was the kind of woman he was...and he loved that. She reached over and kissed him deeply and he quickly reciprocated her kiss. He pulled her closer to him and kissed her deeply. Once they pulled apart, he looked at her with a huge smile on his face. “You definitely held up your end of the bargain and I really want to take you out of here...but since I have to work as well, that is going to have to wait to later.” He winked at her and grabbed their drinks and handed it to her. “So are you having fun? I mean I know this is not your thing, but I appreciate you coming with me.” He smiled again and wrapped his arm around her waist.

Marco was coming back from the makeshift bar with a drink for him and Gen. He smiled as he approached her, she still took his breath away. He walked up and pretended he was going to give her the drink then pulled it back, “Wait, I can’t give you this until two things happen.” He smiled and moved closer. “First I have to tell you again how beautiful you look tonight.” She was stunning and he knew he was so lucky to have her in his life. “And two, you have to give me a kiss. And not just a small peck, but a deep, long kiss that would make me want to pull you out of here and take you back to my place.” He smirked, wondering if she would do it in front of all these people.

[After the shooting]

Marco was having a good time at the event with Gen. They were standing together as the Heads were all gathering at the in the front and he wrapped his arm around Gen. “Tonight is a great night. Adelaide did an amazing job.” He smiled and looked back to the front. He was there with dual jobs, but that was always the case. Sure he wanted to enjoy the evening with his girlfriend, but he also had to look out for Kat. He peered around the room quickly, and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, so his focus was on her. 

Suddenly things went from celebratory to chaos in a blink of an eye. He heard the gunshots and immediately pulled Gen to him. “Are you okay?” He quickly saw she was okay and then turned back to the stage and saw Katarin on her knees. “KAT!” He looked at Gen, “Run and go back to my house...find Rory for me please.” With that he was off and making his way to the front. He ran to the stage pushing past the crowd, not really caring who he knocked out of the way and went to her, “Are you okay? Are you hurt?” He was checking her for blood and to see if she was hit. The scene was crazy, so much security was rushing the stage to check on the Heads of the Family, “We have got to get you out of here!”

Liana let out a relieved laugh and unwrapped her granola bar, confident that she wasn’t getting in trouble. “Did you need a break from the party?” She took a bite of the bar and chewed before speaking again. “It’s good actually. Sometimes these things don’t have food at all or don’t have great food though so I packed this just in case. Now I just want to get it out of my clutch. The wrapper was making noise earlier,” she said with another laugh.

Marco chuckled at the answer from Liana, “I did, it was getting a bit stuffy in there, and I got a bit of relief from doing my job, so I wanted to get a breather.” He could understand her reasoning for bringing a snack, “You’re right about that, sometimes the food is not the best, but I think tonight’s selection is actually pretty good, especially the dessert bar.” He said with a smile. He shook his head and laughed slightly as she talked about the noise the wrapper was making. “You might want to bring a quieter snack next time, maybe orange slices.” He shrugged his shoulders.

Liana had tucked herself into an alcove and had just pulled out a granola bar when she felt a presence near her. She assumed it was a member of the staff there to berate her. “I swear I’m not trying to trespass, I’m just- Oh. You don’t work here.”

Marco was enjoying the evening with Gen as well as keeping an eye on everyone from the Nantes House. He needed a breather from the fun, so he found himself in the alcove. He wasn’t paying that much attention so he didn’t even know someone else was there. He smiled when Liana realized that he didn’t work there. “No I don’t, but I guess we had the same idea.” He looked at the granola bar in her hand, “Not a fan of the food here at the party?”

Gen was panting already, body feeling flushed and overheated as he gripped at him, her desires starting to bubble over. It was with reluctance that she moved her hands off him at all- but as she did so he tugged his shirt off and she licked over her lips, drinking in the sight of him. God, she didn’t think she’d ever get used to someone looking like him wanting anything to do with someone like her. But now wasn’t the time to let those thoughts swirl in her head so instead she moved, lifting her arms up and arching up off the mattress, letting him tug her clothes off piece by piece.

She laid back down against the bed then, a little smile tugging on her lips but it quickly faded off as her lashes fluttered shut, her lips parting with a soft moan as he thrust down onto her, letting her feel that he was hard already and she nodded- a quick, jerky move of her head as she followed suit and rocked up against him, “P..Please daddy..” she breathed, reaching down to run her fingers through his hair as he continued to kiss over her body, her fingers threading through the strands.

It wasn’t too long before both of them were stripped of their clothes and panting loudly as their bodies connected in such a beautiful way. Marco was totally in love with Gen, and he wanted to show her just how much. His focus was only on her and he was going to make sure he pleased her in the best way possible. He was so in love with her, it was something he had never felt before with anyone. All he wanted to do was not mess things up between them. He couldn’t think about that now, he just wanted to put all his energy on pleasing her. He looked down at her as she was lying there naked and his eyes was filled with lust and desire, “You are so beautiful.” He smiled and leaned down and kissed her deeply.

Gen: Me too. And..well...it'll kind of be like our first real outing as an official couple.

Gen: About 8? That way we're not the first ones there.

Marco: I know right, I want to show off my beautiful girlfriend!

Gen: No, yeah!

Gen: I'd like to go

Gen: With you

Marco: Oh okay, good, because I really wanted to go with you.

Rory: [picture message]

Rory: He's called Pilot.

Marco: Oh wow, he looks a little like Trixie! I just hope they get along!

Rory: Do you know what they've decided to call him???

Rory: They went with my love of literature (which honestly are you surprised???) But they actually went with a more obscure literary dog! I'm so proud!

Marco: I haven't a clue. Who knows what it could be with Maman and Papa.

Rory: Wanna come with me to meet him?

Rory: Maman and papa said we'll all go out to dinner afterwards. A restaurant would be a good place for me to begin my own training with him

Marco: Of course I will, I want to meet him.
