The fluff I'm using here is Valais Blacknose that I grabbed at the Schafschurfest and washed and combed myself! It spins like a dream and it's soft, and I really enjoy working with it :D Hopefully I can grab some more next year!

I made an Emotional Support Pocket Ghost for myself 😅💕

I will make a headset for him when the right-coloured yarn has arrived.
But I'm still on the fence whether to make his tactical vest or no... we'll see.
Pattern: I used Pink soldier amigurumi by Anitha Domacin as base, but did some modifications, mainly longer legs and arms, and smaller head. For the skull, I used Heart with Skull applique by Hanna Sorokous as basis, but again, modified it until i liked it.
Hook: 2 mm for the skull, 3 mm for the rest
Yarn: Selfspun for the skull, Catania scraps for the rest
The main inspiration and visual guide for this was actually @shadeops21's "MWII Cosplay Guides - Simon "Ghost" Riley"! Thank you so much for this guide @shadeops21!

I also finished this little fella, as part of a birthday present for the bff of Kid 2, kinda 2 weeks ago, - ish.
And, like, this has the most parts I've ever concocted a plushy with, and while usually I'm pretty good at estimating how long it takes to make something, i underestimated this ✨BY FAR✨!!! And then had to make it in 2.5 days, finishing it around 2 am of the day of the birthday party 😭🙈😅😵💫
But from what I've heard it was well received, so I take that as a win ^_^
And you know what though? It did make my amigurumi game stronger. I CAN fucking do this! I CAN sew things on and it won't look toooo wonky!

Anyway, the deets:
Yarn: Catania scraps
Hook: 3 mm
Pattern: Mini Yoshi Gamer Friend by Mary Smith (it's free!)
Modifications: I did not sew on the stumpy legs. Didn't like the look of them in the ravelry project pics, also, it was fuckin' late and I wanted to go to bed. So I just sewed the booties on the booty.

And i finished Frankenstein's Spindle!
So today I'm gonna free the turtle and start spinning some of this year's loot from the Schafschurfest. It's already washed, just need to comb it and make a bunch of fluffy clouds ^_^
A few days ago, I finished this cat basket!
Yarn: Pretty sure, the white is Catania grande. Plus some black scraps of ... Drops cotton something?
Hook: 4.5 mm
Pattern: Losely inspired by pictures of the Amigurumi Cat Bowl by Judy Stalus, but basically I winged everything here. For the sides I used the waistcoat stitch, which, again, gives such a wonderful basket-y texture 💕

btw, I am lowkey participating in the Tour de Fleece, at least since July 7th (or so?).
No pretty braids, though, just slowly spinning away on Frankenstein's spindle with fluff from last year's Schafschurfest that i washed and combed myself.

I'm certain there's different kinds of fiber, but i can't remember what exactly. It's gonna be a surprise when I wind it off to wash xD
What you see on the the first pic is the batt i made at this year's Schafschurfest. The organizer's got their own drumcarder out. It was nasty dirty, so i cleaned it and then drumcarded what was left of this fluff.
And because there was still so much vm in it, decided to comb it, and got a bunch of these cute little clouds like you see in the second pic.
Anyway, there's not much left of it, I'll try to squeeze it on the spindle, too, and then it's time to spin this year's loot from the Schafschurfest ^_^
As most times, I just chainply everything on the fly.

Sunflower Coasters in a basket
They're finished! 5 Sunflower coasters and one basket to hold them
And if you put them all into the basket, voilà! One big flower!
I love it! And I hope the folks I will gift this to, will too!
Yarn: Schachenmayr Catania (RIP 😢) in colourways 106 (White), 157 (Marone), 162 (Kaffee), 418 (Greenery).
Hook: 3.5 mm
Pattern: Sunflower Coasters in Basket by Papari Sharma though for the basket I learned a new stitch following the Starlight Basket pattern by Toni Lipsey.
Modifications:
4 increase rounds for the sunflower bases
For the petals: 5 sc between them (starting the first petal round with 1 ch, 2sc). Then in the second petal round, into the ch4 loop: 5dc, 1 tr, 1 picot, 1 tr, 5dc, sk 2, sl st in third st; rinse and repeat.
Basket with dc base as per pattern, but 4 inc rounds. I would prefer a more sturdier base in hindsight, so maybe hdc or sc would've been better.
For the basket sides I followed the above mentioned pattern, i.e. alternating waistcoat stitch and BLOsc. The waistcoat stitch is somewhat fiddly as you finagle the hook between the two "legs" of the stitches from the previous round. But it's very much worth it! It's sturdy and it looks really nice! Perfectly basketly!
For the basket leaves: same starting round as with the sunflower petals. Then in the second round: 4 dc, 1 tr, ch 1, 1 tr, 4 dc, sk 2, sl st in third stitch; repeat.

New WIP!
My first knitted triangle shawl!
Simple garter stitch, increasing with kfb on each side and each row, and slipping the yarn at the start.
Yarn is a selfspun 2plied from a yellow/blue roving with some silk in it and the white is alpaca from my home town ^_^
It is way too thin for my liking and i have no clue how it even turned out like this xD
But I'm enduring bc oh its so soft and with 5 mm round needles it will drape nicely. I am very much enamoured with it.

The shawl, it is a-growing ^_^
I think this is the second skein I made bc the colours seem to be less sorted as my patience to separate the colours ran out a bit xD
Also, i think I'll need a longer cord soon.
