cannot emphasize enough how good it is for you to make something with your hands. whether it’s cooking or knitting or drawing, it will nourish your soul. every time i cook i feel so much more energized and present, no matter how complicated or simple the dish is. and to hold the thing you made yourself in your hands, even if it didn’t turn out perfect, is even more beautiful. i promise that whatever you choose to make, it will help you in so many ways

you’re allowed to get up one day and just decide to change who you are. dress differently, speak up more, laugh out loud even though you’ve never liked your laugh, say what you want to, say hey to people you wouldn’t normally, get that confidence going. we don’t have to stay the way people see us out of the fear that they won’t like the us we want to be.

pets sigh so dramatically for little creatures that have nothing to do all day

i want my baking to be so good that when someone eats it they either wonder why im not married or have a split-second panic abt proposing to me right then and there
