THE TWELFTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS So come one, come all, to this tragic affair, And hope that the new race will take kinder care Of Earth as we left her, in tatters distressed, Come one, come all, 'tis the day of Polyceph

THE ELEVENTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS Polyceph and his subjects saw only the decorations, And assumed that this was humanity's dispensation; So year after year, on the 12th of December, They decorate accordingly, to honour and remember The ways of a noble race reduced to embers.

THE TENTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS For it was on Christmas Eve, remember, that the atom was split, Two decades ago now, when all Earth was alit, With heart-stopping gamma-rays bouncing around Razing Everest, the pyramids, and New York to the ground.

THE NINTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS Polyceph is proud of his human ancestry, And demanded Polycephmas to be dedicated wholeheartedly To mankind, though he knew nothing of their culture, Except what'd remained: tinsel, baubles, and an evergreen fir.

THE EIGTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS He rules over the chickens with an iron fist, Demands sacrifices, celebrations and suplicant gifts. Twelve days before the disaster, December the 12th, Is Polycephmas, the celebration above all else.

THE SEVENTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS His name was Polyceph, born from human womb; His mother had hidden in a fridge to escape the boom. But radiation did its work, and he was born misshaped, With two heads, four eyes, and the body of a snake.

THE SIXTH DAY OF POLYCEPHMAS Like all new societies, they needed a God, Someone to quench the coals they walked on. The only other being to have survived the bang, Was a mutant hybrid, half snake and half man.
