It started just after breakfast. He rubbed his chin absentmindedly during his first class and felt stubble—thicker than he remembered shaving off that morning. By the time lunch rolled around, his jawline itched like hell, and in the mirror above the sink in the men's room, he stared at himself in disbelief. A full beard was pushing through, dark and coarse.

Belle (Warrior, Unibrow, Moustache)

Most of the lovely ladies I’ve posted thus far were raised in dwarven strongholds, but Belle’s family lived amongst humans for several generations, settling in Breeland near the Great East Road. By the time Belle was born, three generations of her family had lived and died in Breeland, influenced enough by their neighbors to adopt a surname: Wheatlock. Despite their more settled nature, the Wheatlocks are still dwarvish to the core, proud of their ancestry and their work. Belle and her cousins acted as village watchmen for most of their youth, and would happily provide lodging for any caravans passing through on their way across Middle Earth. Belle saw there was money, experience, and excitement to be gained as a caravan guard, and was soon earning her way as such. It was on one of these expeditions that she stopped by a market in Erid Luin and had to break up a fight between a certain fur trader and some rando: Belle literally got punched by her future wife before she even knew her name.

Referring to Belle as a hopeless romantic would be the understatement of the century: As soon as she got butterflies in her tummy she was courting Káruun like her life depended on it. She managed to find Alda, recruit her as a wingman, and begin the task of flirting with a frustratingly elusive Káruun. It did not help that Belle was painfully shy, Alda was craft-wed, and that between them both they had negative charm. It worked out eventually, but it wasn't a pretty thing to watch.
