Nico - island records star 1974
Nico recorded one album for renowned British label 'island records', produced by old Velvet Underground pal John Cale. It was no commercial success, but now it is highly esteemed

*The Complicated Italian Faithfull-Schifano Stones connection* The film production company "Mount Street Film", founded by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg, finances the arthouse film "Umano Non Umano/Human Not Human" by Italian pop-art painter and film maker Mario Schifano who had a close relationship with Anita in the early 1960s in Rome. Anita is credited as official producer and Mick and Keith each have a cameo in the film, Mick lipsynches to *Streetfighting Man" and Keith fiddles with a synthesizer. During or shortly after filming Schifano has a six-week love affair with Marianne Faithfull which is somehow shrouded in mystery ...Â

The Doors were hired as 'house band' at the famous L.A. 'Whisky a Go Go' club from May to August 1966. They had to play before the featured band of the night (two shows per night)
