I want it to be smiled at. I want someone to edit flowers into the background because the prose is so ethereal and romantic that it feels right. I want them to feel the rhythm, like they can hear my voice in every stroke, even though it’s completely silent. I want it to be seen and known and immortalized.

I get the feeling that love should be colossal. Big, all-encompassing. A confession on an innocently warm afternoon.

I love you, I’ve always loved you.

Poetry, spoken over warmed cheeks. Sunlight peeking in through tree branches.

You’re everything I’ve ever wanted.

It blooms, more vivacious than springtime. Huge, momentous. A breeze floats through empty space, carrying whispers and flower petals.

Did you hear what I said?

No, there’s nothing to hear except the sound of heartbeats synchronized. Enormous, heavy. Feet firmly planted on the ground, and yet- a distinct feeling that’s miles from earth. A shaking voice that’s more assured than ever.

Will you say you love me, too?

A shared smile, hearts leaping somewhere higher than the sky, colors bleeding into the world, and…the ground swaying, transporting us far away from here.

What if I said I loved you more than you could ever imagine?

What then?

When I close my eyes, I picture it all. I see it so clearly…

But then, the colors fade.

It’s so much, too much.
