one thing i will say about the ac black flag remake is that i’m kind of underwhelmed by the new officers so far. i like the idea of having a couple of named crewmembers who stick around longer and who we get to know better vs the cannon fodder vibe of the majority of them but like. i can’t help but feel like they would’ve been better served by making the characters less unique instead of more? like lady shipwright with a corrupt family money backstory is cool but it doesn’t feel very pirate of the west indies to me. feels like a quest pulled right out of ac odyssey it doesn’t really fit edward’s character or story at all. if we need more officers it should be people recruited from nassau or from some of the built in pirate rescue missions. they should be Part of the crew not separate entirely new entities. and why did one of them have to be catholic ???
