I'm an amateur (fanfiction) writer, and an amateur pixel artist. And an amateur stage performer. And a professional idiot. Loves brainrot and can be edgy.
This is my personal blog.
I don't really consider myself a member of any fandom, but I like lots of stuff. This is included but not limited to HxH, The Lord of the Rings, Gilbert & Sullivan, Vermintide, Mongolian throat singing, a bunch of stuff. I also love art, my favorite artists are Alphonse Mucha, Ivan Aivazovsky, and Gustave Moreau. John Singer Sargent, too.
History is super cool, too. My niche interest is Chinese history, and particularly from the Qing dynasty into the modern day. I am not a tankie though, tankies fuck off.
I use this blog as, well, a blog. I record my thoughts and feelings on a great many things here, as an outlet. It's either this, or I blow up my friends' DMs with shit they don't care about lmao.
I generally try to keep this blog politics free. Not that I'm apolitical (couldn't be further from the truth), I'm just not on here for that sort of thing.
However, I'll occasionally vent about that sort of thing, so if you want to block or ignore it I will tag them: #mal politics

Current story, WIP: Witch Hammer (HxH, KilluGon, contains NSFW further in)
Fictionalized early renaissance-type setting with primitive gunpowder and a magic system.
The Zoldycks are a family of agnostic inquisitors and witch hunters in a world where witches and demons are very real. Killua has a job of transporting Gon, who is possessed by a demon of unknown quality, to his death. However, Killua finds Gon's free spirit and ineffable energy to be hard to hate, and experiences a crisis of consciousness over what to do with his charge. What will they do, and will they both make it out of this alive? Also, why is Killua so damned pretty in the moonlight?
The setting is a mish-mash of Eastern and Western Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and China.

I saw this image floating around on a post that had disabled reblogs
So instead of me hate posting in a reblog I am stuck with quietly venting about it in my corner of the internet. First of all to be clear, it is extremely super cringe when white devils use Japanese like bro shut up I hate you. It is a LARP and also generally and indicator of somebody being extremely socially maladjusted. However
This is not orientalism, though these sorts of people that partake in this behavior do tend to also be orientalist. However, this is simply the market working as intended. They associate the Japanese language with cute things because there is an enormous machine pumping out slop content with the exact intent of making things as cute and or attractive as feasibly possible. That's because the degenerate Japanese culture is full of people that are also socially maladjusted, and turns out socially maladjusted people of all stripes tend to be lonely perverts regardless of ethnic background. So this slop was produced to appeal to a domestic audience of lonely perverts, and then anime found a foothold internationally and now appeals to white devil perverts as well. These people are simply responding to stimuli, their favorite waifu or husbando says cute things in Japanese with their fluffy hair and big shiny eyes and like a pavlovian dog they now hear Japanese and assume it must be cute regardless of context, attributing some sort of supernatural cuteness quality to it simply because their smooth, soft, malleable brains have been groomed into associating Japanese with cute people by decades of mass media exportation. In short, the fact that so many people associate Japanese with being cute is simply a result of artists and companies back in Japan wanting to make money and that's it
Again I think this behavior is cringe and that there's a solid 90% chance that anyone that does this is in fact orientalist, simply for other reasons since this particular behavior is not orientalist. And I am the orientalism hater, number one, I simply also think this term and others like it are wildly overused by 16-year-old wokeoids with five different neo pronouns in bio grasping at straws to be upset over something they personally dislike. And again I also personally dislike this. I just am very smart and brilliant, unlike the OP who cowardly turned off reblogs
pls stop calling your art “slop” its just another way of saying its “cringe” and look. I understand being young and feeling self conscious about your artwork, but your drawing of a kids next door au for an obscure plants vs zombies character that’s basically your own oc at this point wearing an outfit you wish you owned is so unique and so you and therefore so human. Dont you dare conflate it with slop and dont you dare stop making your art
No, slop is slop and this is cope. It's fine to call what you make slop. I love slop. Everyone does. Just because you made it does not make it not slop

My friend was texting me for genuinely an hour straight about something that had really upset him and I hit him with a fork and spoon logical syllogism that settled everything in an instant
And now he's like all good lmao. Sometimes that's all it takes, the old fork and spoon
