I don't really consider myself a member of any fandom, but I like lots of stuff. This is included but not limited to HxH, The Lord of the Rings, Gilbert & Sullivan, Vermintide, Mongolian throat singing, a bunch of stuff. I also love art, my favorite artists are Alphonse Mucha, Ivan Aivazovsky, and Gustave Moreau. John Singer Sargent, too.
History is super cool, too. My niche interest is Chinese history, and particularly from the Qing dynasty into the modern day. I am not a tankie though, tankies fuck off.
I use this blog as, well, a blog. I record my thoughts and feelings on a great many things here, as an outlet. It's either this, or I blow up my friends' DMs with shit they don't care about lmao.
I generally try to keep this blog politics free. Not that I'm apolitical (couldn't be further from the truth), I'm just not on here for that sort of thing.
However, I'll occasionally vent about that sort of thing, so if you want to block or ignore it I will tag them: #mal politics

The Zoldycks are a family of agnostic inquisitors and witch hunters in a world where witches and demons are very real. Killua has a job of transporting Gon, who is possessed by a demon of unknown quality, to his death. However, Killua finds Gon's free spirit and ineffable energy to be hard to hate, and experiences a crisis of consciousness over what to do with his charge. What will they do, and will they both make it out of this alive? Also, why is Killua so damned pretty in the moonlight?
The setting is a mish-mash of Eastern and Western Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and China.

My trans friend said something recently that bothered me, I was just like being my regular self which the few of you that know me are aware that my regular self tens to banter quite a bit. And I think I said something like your cringe or something, which is something I tell literally everyone in my orbit, and she responds yeah well at least I'm kind which like. No you're not lmao, you are interested in the performative aesthetics of kindness which often accompanies people that pursue the act of being feminine. Women are expected to be kind and so people that like to act girly tend to adopt the aesthetic of being nice, often without actually being nice in any meaningful way, and that's what you are. And I mean that's fine, she's not mean either, I've known her for literally 10 years it's not like I'm bothered by it. I guess I was irritated because I could tell that she was bothered and putting on a bit of a victim act over something I tell literally everyone all the time. IDK. Well it is also true that this performative aesthetic of kindness has always been something that really bothers me about people that try to act feminine, but because it reinforces the assertion that women are supposed to be nice when in fact it is totally cool that they are mean and also it just feels duplicitous since it is anesthetic.
