Resources For Writing Deaf, Mute, or Blind Characters
Despite the fact that I am not deaf, mute, or blind myself, one of the most common questions I receive is how to portray characters with these disabilities in fiction.
As such, I’ve compiled the resources I’ve accumulated (from real life deaf, mute, or blind people) into a handy masterlist.
Deaf Characters:
Deaf characters masterpost
Deaf dialogue thread
Dialogue with signing characters (also applies to mute characters.)

The youtube channel of the wonderful Tommy Edison, a man blind from birth with great insight into the depiction of blind people and their lives.
An Absolute Write thread on the depiction of blind characters, with lots of different viewpoints and some great tips.
And finally, this short, handy masterpost of resources for writing blind characters.
Characters Who Are Blind in One Eye

I hope this helps, and happy writing! <3
Updated with more resources, specifically for characters who are blind in one eye.
Fawcett citizens celebrate death/funeral the way people usually celebrate birthdays.
So hear me out, fawcett citizens are people living with constant reminders that they are immortals. They don't die from old age or sickness, nor are they growing old. No births are also occurring during the time bubble period.
Everything birth-party related would cease to continue. Baby shower, gender reveal, heck even birthdays get boring after a while of people turning 21 for the nth time. The people still want to hold some sort of community gathering, and what would be closer to a celebration of life than those of a funeral?
Those who have lived their life to the fullest are the ones able to pass on to the other side, if that's what they choose to do. Some wish to stay with their loved one. Those who did were celebrated for their passing.
They, the locals, perceive it as something wonderful to pass away with a heart filled with love, so they treat the ceremony as such. It doesn't carry the usual somber atmosphere, but instead it is light, where people can carry on conversation about the departed with joy, maybe even have some meals at the end for the people to enjoy. Complete opposite of gothamite traditions in a way.
Instead of black, they wear white for the occasion. Some dig through their closet to wear their old wedding dress, to remember those wonderful moments.
After the time bubble, I would think even gothamite would get freaked out seeing such positivity for what normally would be seen as a sad occasion.

say cheese!!!
Reeve handing out Cait Sith plushies to everyone who comes into his office like a children’s therapist.
*Tseng aggressively corners Reeve outside the men’s room*
Tseng: I know what you’ve been doing.
Reeve: Ok fine! It was me who started the rumor that the President’s hair is a wig, and it was me who anonymously donated three tons of materia to the slum sectors in the hope it would encourage organized resistance, and it was me who programmed a “kick Hojo in the face” minigame into the Skyview Hall training simulator! Sue me!
Tseng: WHAT— I —that’s —I meant you turning your office into an unlicensed therapy practice!
Reeve: ...Oh. Hehe. Forget everything I just said.
Tseng: REEVE. You don’t hold a psychology degree! You have no clinical training! You are directly influencing the emotional states and behavioral patterns of people who work for the most powerful corporation on the Planet. Do you understand how many things are wrong with that!?
Reeve: I just feel bad for them! A lot of these people genuinely need someone to talk to!
Tseng: Look, you’re a good man. And I’d be more than willing to write this off as “aggressive socializing”. But the Cait Sith plushies, Reeve, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?
Reeve, guilty: I uh...have absolutely no idea what you’re referring to.
Tseng: The stuffed animals you’ve been distributing to people upon leaving your office. Which, when squeezed, dispense personalized advice.
Reeve: That sounds like something a very unwell person would do! Haha. Not me though.
Tseng, pulling out a clipboard: I’ve confiscated seventeen of the thirty-four you’ve distributed. Let me walk you through some highlights.
*He flips the page*
Tseng: The plushie given to the Vice President, which when squeezed says—and I’m reading this directly— “Aye, listen here, lad. Yer faither’s had his time. The Planet willnae miss him and neither will you. Just sayin’”
Reeve: I would never encourage a political assassination!
*Flip*
Tseng: The plushie given to Reno, which when squeezed says “Reno, ye brilliant idiot. Quit the Turks an tart a wee business selling yer greens. Ye know what grows well in the slums and the people would appreciate it.”
Reeve: I would never encourage drug use!
*Flip*
Tseng: And the plushie distributed to Sephiroth, which when squeezed says “All yer problems will resolve themselves naturally once the primary source of yer trauma is removed from this mortal coil”
Reeve: What?? But I programmed that one to say “Hojo. It’s Hojo. Kill Hojo. Have a nice day.”
Tseng: GOTCHA—
Reeve: WAIT—
Tseng, clipboard as weapon: COME HERE—

I'm actually so OBSESSED with a fanfic idea where Sarada time-travelled to the Warring States period.
This takes place after the last battle between Tobirama and Izuna. Maybe from an outsider's POV. From Madara's, to be exact. Izuna is suffering from a mortal wound, and each day Madara can see the life seeping out of his brother's eyes. The Uchiha clan's healing prowess couldn't do anything, and Izuna would rather die than be healed by a Senju.
But then he remembers the rumours of a mysterious healer who is said to be able to bring back men from the edge of the dead, heal the blind and do what people have claimed to be miracles.
The people of the village have said she was an angel who had fallen down from heaven, from what they perceived from her foreign appearance. The locals had helped her when she was struck with sadness and grief as she lost the way to her home, the angel said. It's impossible for her to go back. They let her into their home with open arms and let her rest inside of their home, even though they are people without many means. A plague has hit their small village, and the majority of the youth have fallen sick, affecting their harvest, which causes an influx of food insecurity. Once the angel had gathered herself properly, she realised what the people had sacrificed for her. Filled with gratitude, the angel gave her blessing to aid them, healing the poor without any expectation for repayment.
When Madara first heard it, way before everything, he had chucked it into something of a folk myth. They're known to embellish stories, peasants who couldn't comprehend a shinobi life. But now, when all hope has vanished, he would do anything to save his brother. Even the glint of hope is enough for him.
Even as the majority of the clan advised against it, Madara made his journey to the home of the miracle while carring unconcious Izuna.
Skip to the point; they finally arrived. Madara's heart is aching as Izuna's state is worsening. But he's there in the gate of the village, and that's enough for him. But he was informed by the guard of something that is enough to make him crack. The healer doesn't partake in healing shinobi from a clan. She prefers not to be associated with any of them.
Madara's chakra is like a blazing fury. You can see the villagers panicking, as they might not understand what chakra is, but they certainly could feel it. And it felt like it was going to boil them alive.
She appeared before he could accidentally cause havoc in his grief-filled mind. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. There are some features that don't quite match a full-blooded Uchiha the way he is, but she is, without a doubt, an uchiha in all regards. It's in her posture, the way she is carrying herself. But he has never seen this woman ever before in his life. She takes a singular look at Izuna when he sees something in her falter.
She ordered the guard gently to let the two in. Madara was guided to what she refers to as the medical centre. Not once does his Sharingan ever leave the back of her head. He does not trust easily. Especially one who wears the face of his clan member but not one he could name.
Izuna was laid down in the sterile area. She swears to Madara that she is there to save his brother's life. She does not carry any ill intent towards the Uchiha, nor ever has. Madara, with great reluctance, agreed in the end.
When her hand shifts into green hues, he is absolutely stunned. An Uchiha, who has knowledge and is able to utilise the sacred jutsu of the Senju?
