*Lalala Intensifies*

i like how when referencing Hades, Hermes says “Oh, we’ll get to him” and then the rest of the show features not only the whole cast going to Hades’ location, but also Orpheus (and really Eurydice, the Workers, Persephone, and the entire context of the events that happen) ‘getting to’ Hades as in, getting through to Hades and ultimately affecting him.

was anyone going to tell me that broadway!Orpheus managed  to push two of the workers away before getting curbstomped? 😭 bway!Orphe is considered the Delicate Flower of the Orpheus Collective but 😭 my boy gets back up after taking a Timothy Hughes (and four other people) to the face 😭😭😭 my squirmy little cadet  really kept right on struggling the whole way through 😭 oh my god 😭

okay but Orpheus singing the line from The Grinning Man, about “Fighting for the strength to look into the eyes of someone who is maiming you, and see that they’re the same as you” and “I look in the eyes of [the king/god of...? the man who...something? and I see myself” 👀

despite having seen the london and broadway versions and knowing how the scene plays out, i can never listen to Wedding Song and not visualize it as a fun little dance taking place, complete with a few twirls.

orpheus moves like when shaggy or scooby try to run and they’re just kind of stuck in one place for a second before they actually get going

how many times do i have to listen to hadestown before i build up immunity and it stops making me Feel Things(tm) i’m exhausted from turning inside out every time i hear if it’s true or chant ii

so like. where do the fates go and what do they do after the end of hadestown? do they stick around to be mean to eurydice or do they follow orphe around and sneakily suggest he try jumping off a cliff from time to time or..?
