Ik vind het maar een hele rare lente dit. Gelukkig zijn er, tussen de buien door, toch nog een paar volhouders.. zo is de sleedoorn die we een paar jaar terug als onderdeel van een bloeiend haagje plantte (toen nog wat ielige takjes) ondertussen al heel vrolijk aan het rondbloeien. More bees! 🐝 🐝 🐝 - our family keeps expanding, today we introduced this swarm (scooped in Middelburg city-centre) to their new home. Our bee-family is growing steadily, currently we have two “natural” swarms in hyves (with a queen who should start laying eggs in the next weeks 🤞) and now we even have a sleepover. The middle hyve will move from it’s origin to a different beekeper, but because there’s hardly and distance between the two locations, they would fly back. Wow, we were busy bees this week, as @jofabi also just posted about. We’ve been traing to become bee-keepers for a while now, and what better way to learn than have bees in your own back yard. So this week our first family arrived, check out @jofabi showing off their hard work (go ladies!) and today we visited a old straw-hive keeper (no suit, how brave ;)).
