MAGNETIC TRICK

       the   quality   of   his   suit    was   undisputable   —   savile   row   tailors   of   kingsman’s   sort   had   for   long   been   considered   the   best   in   england ,   and ,   also ,   in   the   world .   yet   he   had   a   gut   feeling   that   such   compliment ,   coming   from   a   rather   dashingly   gorgeous   woman ,   was   suspicious   —   to   say   the   least .       “   oh ,   thank   you .   ”   harry   hart   replied ,   with   a   courteous   smile .   would   he   buy   her   a   drink ?

       he   realized   that   he   was   tempted   to   do   so .       “   it   would   be   rather   impolite   of   me   to   deny   such   thing ,   would   it   not ?   ”   the   attitude   was   typically   his .  the   debonair   gentleman .   well ,   he   was   glad   he   had   left   his   high-tech   spectacles   at   his   pad .

He could’ve thrown his voice into a spine-crawl cackle. The grin comes easier. Joker doesn’t even feel the sting when his cheeks cramp. Cigarette-stained teeth appear darker beneath the street lamp’s golden illume, and remain on display as he replies, “I did…” matter-of-factly, then beams, “Till I brought a loaded gun into the ward — AHAHAHA!” That’s what she wanted, isn’t it? It’s so shrill, a rat large enough to ride shoots out from under a trash heap; skittering into the alley it seems like Joker’s guarding. He isn’t. 

One foot’s propped on the brick facade of a seedy convenience store while Joker slots new bullets into his Model 36. They’re likely waiting for the same person…or not. The Bowery isn’t exactly a playground for white collars.

                    the dismissal , the sharing of space . the catches the flicker of her attention . cat , mouse ; a centuries old game . the desperate reminder that she’s starving , and this whole rendezvous is cutting in on time she cannot waste .       ❛  have you by any chance seen a really small man with ridiculous arms skulking around the trash .  ❜

     with the mannerism of a feline—begging to be the focus of his attention, the vampire knew exactly what she was implying with her statement. her words went beyond just commentary about how ‘boring’ his habits are, emphasizing on the loneliness that came with it. something certainly more troubling for someone whose days were counted; deeming it as a waste of time. to DIO, it was his way to experience a sense of accomplishment no matter how small, because as the days went by & he remained the same, doing anything felt less productive somehow than spending the night in the comfort of the library. at least, with a book in hand, there was always something new to be learned.

       he humours her with a chuckle of his, finally darting his eyes away from words to observe her expression his head, unconsciously leaning towards the hand that played with his hair. “—are you suggesting i venture into the streets of cairo, then?” the vampire pauses, returning his stare to his book. “is that an invitation or shall i go on my own?”

                   THE BUZZING PURR OF STATIC , THE REASSURANCE OF ENCROACHING MAGNETISM       /     mariah is of so many venues , her easy sexuality and her even easier facade of submission . the ever present ulterior motives . claws pluck at golden threads , aligning them in a way that pleases her and only her . his attention is all that she could ever desire . SHE IS DESIRE PERSONIFIED , AS SOME MAY SAY SO . or perhaps she if the titillating circumference of lust . what could she be that so many would want her ( but she could only desire the attention of one . )

MUSE VS . MUN.

    his peace is disturbed by a voice he’s grown familiar with; his stare doesn’t darts to his side as it was not necessary. her presence was unmistakeable, as well as her scent—one that his brain had registered from the time they met & it tempted the most primal part of him, hidden beneath etiquette. all of his movements were slow & deliberated, as if he had practice them a thousand times, flipping through the pages of his textbook.

     a thought said out loud brings a smirk upon his lips, covered by the hand used to support his face. the answer to that unspoken question wasn’t as interesting as the perception she may have of him.

   “—my eyes are not like yours or like those that inhabit this place, for i don’t struggle to see in the dark.”

              ❛  I’M MORE LIKE MY NAMESAKE THAN YOU THINK , HABIBI .  ❜  she reaches out , tapping a manicured finger against the page . nothing she learned in college , surely ; but how long had been she worried about all of that . in the back of her mind , she time manages -- the night is young , and the moon beckons the slim thing . right now she wants his attention , and she preens under it . a woman like her ?  hard to keep , HARDER TO KEEP . there’s so much behind those glittering eyes .
