Hey, I’m new to your blog so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I’ve only ever seen libfems say that terf isn’t a slur as an excuse to call free-thinking women that term. Why do you think that too? Anyway I really dig your blog 👌🏻
I think that terf is a perfect way to describe what we do and how we think: we are trans-exclusionary radical feminist. I consider myself to be a radical feminist (honestly if you aren’t in this day and age then what are you even doing), and i don’t include “transgender” people in the definition of what feminism stands for. It’s like how people are reclaiming “queer” as an identity; I want to reclaim terf as a way to instill pride into what I believe. It’s also a good label that allows me to connect with others who agree with me (rather than just “radical feminists” who support or fight for “transgender” people). Thanks for the ask and support! 💖💖
