Le canapé rouge

There is today an art in which the poet's love for lyricism and dramatically genuine situations can give birth to a sort of epic feeling. That art is cinematography. Real epics were those originally told to the gathered people, and nothing is closer to the people than cinema. Today's projectionist plays the same role as the minstrel and storyteller in times of old. The epic poet will express himself through cinematography, in a beautiful tale which unites all the arts, the musician also having his part to play when accompanying the narrator's lyrical phrases.
