Smack it smack it in the air
Charming scratched the back of his head and frowned. The girls were supposed to be downstairs by now for the little excursion around the city. It was his familyâs turn to host the royal visits, so everyone was there and the girls were supposed to be down any minute. And it wasnât like theyâd ditched; the other boys were still here, so no one had snuck out. Yet.
âPrince Simba?â he asked as Simba passed by. âForgive me but, have you seen the princesses?â
âI was just looking for them,â said Simba. âI told Ariel to be ready. Weâre going to play laser tag. Come on, letâs go find them.â
They walked up the impressive staircase and started to check the rooms, calling for the girls as they went.
âHey have you seen Nala?â asked Herc, appearing from his room. He straightened his tie as he spoke. âI just wanted to ask her something real quick.â
âWe havenât seen any of them in awhile,â said Charming.
âAny of them?â said Phillip walking up from the opposite end of the hall. Charming shook his head. They walked all over the castle, meeting up with Eric down the hall. He hadnât seen them either, and after a few more minutes Charming was beginning to get a little worried.
âJasmine? Anna?â he called, but then Eric held up a hand.
âDo you hear that? Itâs coming from over there,â he said. By now the boys had mostly concerned expressions on their faces as they walked down the hall towards the faint sound. Simba opened up the door and the sight was...not what he was expecting.
The first thing he saw was Pocahontas and Ariel dressed in baggy t-shirts and their....unmentionables, dancing on each other with red solo cups in their hands. The music was some sort of rap song, loud with the bass thumping hard. He turned to look at Hercules, whose mouth had dropped open.
âIs that....Is that my merchandise?â he asked, looking at the t-shirt and underwear Poca was wearing. They were both purple with âZERO TO HEROâ stamped on them in gold letters.
âHey guys!â Ariel waved frantically with her drinking cup hand, spilling something all over the place. She switched to her free hand. âCome on in!â
Charming turned away from them, too embarrassed at their lack of clothing. His eyes quickly scanned the rest of the room: Jasmine and Merida were in the corner doing shots, with Jasmine surprisingly able to keep up. Every once in awhile theyâd look around the room and giggle before going back to their game. Aurora pretended to sing along to the song using a hairdryer as a microphone, and Kiara sat next to her holding her foot up to her face and...using it as a telephone? In the middle of the room Nala and Odette danced. Their style didnât seem to have anything to with the music; one minute they were dancing like Poca and Ariel, the next Nala was spinning Odette around and laughing when they tripped and fell over.
Adella and Anna sat eating chocolate and giggling hysterically. Charming wondered if they made alcoholic chocolate. And Arista was showing Melody some new dance. He didnât know what it was called but it was....certainly vulgar.
âWeâre getting ready to go out,â Nala said as she and Odette tangoed past the boys, who stood frozen in the door way. They stood there for a few seconds more, maybe a full minute.
âUm yes, of course,â said Charming, pulling the door shut.
âHoly shit,â said Simba. Then he looked at Phillip. âIf Kiara was drinking Iâm going to kill her,â he said. Eric was white as a sheet, no doubt scarred for life from what heâd seen.
Hercules didnât say anything for awhile, and then crossed his arms over his chest. âShe was wearing underwear with my face on it.â
