“I’ll have to give that nickname a hard pass, my name is Trunks Briefs.” The teenager bit his tongue to stop himself from commenting on how Six wasn’t much of a name, but it was a bit early for him to already let his prejudice stop any potential teamwork between the two of them. Besides, he hadn’t given her much of a chance to prove what type of person she was, and tried to keep aware of what came out of his mouth.

As the older android led the way, Trunks was quiet, unsure as to what to say to Six, or if she’d even be interested in having a conversation with someone who was moments away from being destroyed for reasons out of her control. He did take time to realize that he did carry a heavy prejudice towards androids in general, and that it was something that he needed to work on once everything was said and done.

“So, you what was your life like before you were put to sleep? I’m assuming you didn’t spend all your time doing nothing.” It was a random question, but he didn’t want to annoy Six with questions as to how long it’d be before they found the lab, and it allowed him to learn a little bit about her as they made their way. He wasn’t sure if Six was in the mood to answer any more questions at the moment, but trying to start a conversation felt better than saying nothing the whole time.

That next question gave her pause. She takes a long moment to mull it over... what was her life like? She honestly didn’t know. The first thing in her memory was post-conversion. She could probably just tell him about those memories, not that there was much there...

“...don’t remember anything from when I was human. I woke up on an operating table, and from there every day was tests, tests, and more tests. Eventually they decided I was a failure- something about constant disobedience pissed them off, but then, maybe developing a child weapon was a fuck-up in the first place. Anyway, they put me on ice, I woke up decades later, then ran into a guy who’s named after pants.”

The comment carried a light tone, clearly being meant as a joke- she’d rather just deflect off of her past, so best to draw attention to something else. Thinking about the tiny bit of memory left to her was just painful.

“And you? What’s your story?”
