(The Jetsons segment)
(Scooby-Doo segment)
(Swirling Star Finale segment)
The Carowinds Magic Mirrors debuted in Summer 1984. What made Carowinds unique was that it had a Patriotic theme inside as opposed to the rainbow theme used in Kings Dominion. The Carowinds version also had an unique mirror frame.
The show segments followed the same format as Kings Island and King Dominion’s versions. All three versions were using the “guest stars” element. By late-1988, the original finale music used in all three versions were change to the “Funtastic” music.

(Scooby Doo segment)
(Swirling Star Finale segment)
In 1982, Kings Dominion got their version of the Magic Mirrors. Instead of a star field interior, it had a rainbow interior instead.
The opening fanfare is the same as the Kings Island’s version, with an extra fanfare playing before the center barge box turns on. Kings Dominion was given a unique mirror frame.
The Flintstones segment used an alternative version of the “New Fred and Barney Show” theme song. The song’s lyrics was changed to the lyrics from the original Flintstones theme song.
The Jetsons segment had two songs, the main theme and “Eep Ork Ah Ah”. Thus this version was longer than the Kings Island segment.
The Scooby-Doo segment used the theme song from 1976’s “The Scooby-Doo Show” and an instrumental of the “Scooby Doo and Scrappy-Doo Show” theme song.
The finale segment is the same as the one used at Kings Island. The mirror frames would go off individually. But as an extra effect, only the center barge stays on for a moment. Then an “explosive burst dissolve” light effect happens and the show ends.

In Spring 1980, Magic Lights debuted it new “Magic Mirror” show system at Kings Island. This was the first version of the show that ran from 1980 through 1988. The format consisted four show segments on rotation six screens.
The show starts off with a electronic fanfare and the middle screen saying “Kings Island presents”. Then the screen switches to the show’s name.
After the opening fanfare, the show goes into its first segment. It had character screens of Quick Draw McGraw, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, and Wally Gator. Each one had their show’s theme song play as they light up individually.
There’s a brief intermission as the screens switch to second segment of the show. This segment features the Flintstones characters, with the show’s theme song.
The show goes into another intermission as the next segment of the show consists of the Jetsons. The segment plays the Jetsons theme song and the screens light on cue from the character names.
The final segment of the show is Scooby-Doo. It featured the original five characters and used the theme song from the “New Scooby-Doo Movies” show.
The finale segment of the show was known as the “Swirling Star” finale. After the Jetsons segment, the barges would go dark for moment. Then the credits music from the Flintstones Funnies would play, as the screens turn into the Swirling Star logo.
