Warhammer 40,000 is of course, uh, not unproblematic. But patterning orks specifically and incredibly blatantly off English football hooligan culture was probably simultaneously the least bigoted and most creative thing literally anyone did with the concept of 'the orc' at any point in the 1980s
they added pregnant mrbeast to warframe his name is pregnant mrbeast and he's the second ever pregnant warframe.
(popular leftist voice) these right wingers are so mad because they get no women. if you are a Good Person a woman will appear and suck your dick.
(popular leftist voice) these right wingers are all sooo poorrrr and stupid. They are stupid because they are poorrrr, racism would never exist in my suburban area
Popular leftist voice: these right wingers must have brain damage. They must be bigots because they are literally reta suffering from blsck mold, or brain damage.
(Popular leftist voice) right wingers deserve the natural disasters that hit the places they live in. We should celebrate every time there is an earthquake or cyclone in the southern US or in the Middle East or in the Carribean or in Africa because They hate gay people in Those Places so it's actually not a bad thing when it happens.
Popular leftist voice: these right wingers are basically children. They're immature. They can't handle grown up topics. Everyone is 12 years old now.

Been having a wonderful time in Nova Scotia with my partners! Even if I’m being slowly devoured by insects it’s been great here
Astrology is very popular — both Gallup and YouGov report that about 25% of Americans believe that the position of the stars and planets can
Astrology doesn't seem to work.
Some highlights:
Astrologers helped design the study
No one did better than random chance, even though they only included people in the study who are experienced with astrology and stated that they expect themselves to do better than random chance
They gave every astrologer a set of 50 things about a person and 5 birth charts to choose from. They weren’t even coming up with the chart themselves!
After taking the test, most thought they nailed it. Zero out of 152 did better than 5 out of 12. None nailed it
Astrologers who rated themselves highly experienced (“world class experts”) did the same or worse as those who said they have limited experience. Both performed the same as random chance
This is hilarious
That's got to be the funniest graph ever published in a paper

Hey y’all, I’ve got some super exciting news I can finally talk about. I’m going to be collaborating with the Freedom of Form Foundation on some upcoming projects related to species affirming body mods!
For the time being, I can’t give a ton of details. But I’m sure y’all can imagine that a group of biologists and engineers collaborating with me on species affirming body mods is going to create some pretty spectacular things. Most importantly, open source things :)
Expanding on the vagueness a bit, we are still researching a lot of the stuff. Beyond that, we agreed that it would be best not to go public with some of these things until they’ve been thoroughly tested (and chittered at). As excited as we all are, I don’t want to hype everyone up in the event that something gets delayed or doesn’t work out initially. Stay tuned though, I’ll be posting a guest article I wrote that was featured in the FFF monthly newsletter. I also have some very fun stories about hanging out with Zennith (the founder of the FFF) this past week.
We are a scientific organization with the vision to make safe and customizable body alterations possible. Read more about who we are.
this is making me laugh so hard i feel sick

girl I know took me to a local squatter hangout today, where a lot of local activism organises from. an old movie theater. thing is, I already knew the building like the back of my hand. i used to go there all the time as a kid. it was one of my standard places to go after school. it closed some time around covid and never reopened. it was strange, seeing it in this new state after so many years. every wall was covered in political graffiti. the city cut the building's power so most of the lights were off, though some had been connected to a generator. instead of selling tickets and popcorn, the lobby was being used to hand out food and old clothes. one of the screening rooms had been turned into a dance hall. another had random artworks and furniture laying around.
.... I loved every second I spent there. I hate stagnancy. I love that it changed so much. I love that they saw this old building, this thing I used to love as a child, and turned it into something good, that I can love now. I love that there are so many people who care so deeply about these causes, so close by, in my own city.
That's almost it for this Pride Month. Before we go, there's one more thing we'd like to show you. Please take a look:
