MAG stars of then and now

Nikita Nagornyy’s foot is still in a boot, but he hopes to recover in time for the European Championships. His goal is to show a new floor routine to satisfy the new rules (especially now only two connections can count).  He also hopes to have a new vault ready by next summer to debut at Worlds. Recently Igor Radivilov’s triple front vault from the Olympics was axed by the Men’s Technical Committee in the new code. Nikita feels it was the right decision because of the huge risk with so little room for error, though he understands Igor isn’t too thrilled about the MTC’s decision.
