Let's Get Fit

I want to crawl back in bed and sleep until I leave for work...mostly because the idea of fighting through Les Mills Combat 60 makes me want to cry. 

i guess I'll do it....

So I am a Jesus-Loving 20 year old, female who wears hipster clothes loves fitness, and who stood conflicted on the issue of gay marriage.

I believe that the Bible is the living Word of God, and the Bible is definitely not silent on the issue of homosexuality, I believe that homosexuality is a sin and is therefore displeasing to God (i also believe that lying, cheating, stealing, pride, lust, loss of self control, etc are also sinful). However, I love everyone! We are all sinful people, and one sin is no greater than another. 

I also believe in love and that one of the fruits of true romantic love is marriage. However, as a Christian I believe in marriage between one man and one woman who are joined together to become one flesh forever. 

I also want to believe that America is a Christian nation...however I know that this is not the case. We were founded on Christian principles and nothing more.

As a Christian I do not hold non-Christians to the same standard as living that I hold myself because they (non-Christians) are not held to the standards of the Bible. 

After much thought, I do not support gay marriage legalization because I don't want to contribute to America's further rebellion from God. This doesn't mean that I don't love gay people, because I do love them. This doesn't mean I'm judging them, because I'm not. This means I simply disagree. I am informed of the other side, I just disagree.

I know someone will read this and I will be made fun of and probably told that I am old fashioned and that I'm like the people who opposed civil rights in the 60s, however, I am confident in Christ, His love is enough for me.

I did not come to these views on my own and I would love to share what Christ has done for me sometime, if you'd want to hear.

Today was day 26! I completed Combat 45 Power Kata! It was pretty tough, but not as tough as Combat 60. My shoulder's are really tight right now though...which isn't as fun. However, on an inspirational note, my boyfriend and I were snuggling the other day and he told me that he could really feel a difference in my stomach. He said it felt flat, tight, and fit. He also told me how proud he was of me for wanting to get more fit and to keep working hard! It was so great to hear that he actually noticed my hard work because i was starting to get discouraged. That little boost of confidence is enough for me to completely reinvest myself in the Les Mills program! 

Smoothie recipes. 

Honestly...it's not that difficult to put fruit, ice, and milk into a blender. You can get real cray by adding protein powder or vegetables, but in the end....it's all the same. 

Do we really need "101 Smoothies for a Sexier You"? 

I don't think so. 

But that's besides the point...I love smoothies and I think they're delicious, I just thought that making them was common sense. 

Guess not. 

Totally. Kicked. My. Butt. 

Like to the point where I was praying it was over and I still had 30 minutes left. It was like willingly submitting myself to torture. 

All things considered....I really enjoyed it. 

I also enjoyed the Shakeology I drank afterwards (: 

And tomorrow I'm waking up bright and early to do HIIT Power. We'll see how that goes....
