My sky OCs are placed further in the future than the current game. These skykids are different from what is shown in-game as well. In the past, skykids remained young because of the death+ rebirth cycle and their unique calling as light creatures to participate in that cycle.

However, there became a point where skykids began to ignore their calling . They instead gained a will to look for knowledge, growth, advancement. Essentially these skykids have strayed from their identity as light creatures. When abandoning their embodiment as the connection between nature and person, they began to look much like their ancestors.

They grew old. They become fleshier. They feel pain. They kept injuries.

But like their ancestors, they have rebuilt the fallen kingdom of sky in their own way. Vault for example has advanced more than their predecessors have ever dreamed. What used to be a passionate group of archivist has now flourished into its own civilization.

One particular skykid was a catalyst for this growth, at least old records assumed so. Its life and whereabouts after a certain amount of time is lost.

“The newcomer buried in cloth spent hours in those archives

Continuously, it would repair vessels of memories

Whenever I tried to speak to it— no reply. Not even a glance.

I used to always joke—

‘Are we sure that’s a skykid?’”
