We often loose sight of why we started because of how rigorous the journey has become. Well, back in 2010/11, when I decided to pursue a healthier lifestyle again, it was to actually become healthy. I had no interest in powerlifting, strongman, Crossfit or bodybuilding at the time. I only wanted to learn as much as I could about becoming healthy, disease prevention and wellness, not only for myself but for others around me. Over the last 4 or 5 years, I've been fortunate and given the opportunity to help others. And, it's probably been the most rewarding part of my life. I've also met a lot of really cool people and had the pleasure of being part of something with a positive impact. Somewhere along the way, I began to realize some of the finer things about life that I never knew I would, and I'm grateful for it. I had no idea any of it would take me here but I'm sure glad there was a hot bowl of homemade bean soup waiting for me. #AccelerateLife (at Rocket Engineering)

I haven't really talked about fitness, health or anything remotely close for a while because, well, life has been somewhat of a madness lately. Marti and I haven't been training much and our diets have been WAY off, but we've managed to get a lot of other things done over the last few months. Sometimes things happen and other times you make things happen. Either way, you must remain positive and continued on your journey. Our plan is to begin a new routine in the morning, get back into our groove, get the gym finished up and ready for the grand opening. But first, we're going to devour this homemade banana bread with a bowl of slow churned ice cream.

As I was removing the drawers from this 1970 Snap-on tool box, I couldn't help but wonder how many people have used it, what types of tools were in it over the years and how many people were able to make a living with it. I'm not sure how many hands it's been through, I'm just glad it landed in mine. These boxes are solid. The drawers still slide great and all of the metal is there. The paint's a little faded and it has a little surface rust here and there, but we'll be doing a full restoration on it... and three more pieces that we're making a road trip to pick up tomorrow. #snapon #toolbox #fabrication #restoration #NeverSettle #AccelerateLife #progress (at madspeed.co)
