Many head-canon Homura as autistic. For some it's undeniable. But this raises a very important question:
What would her special interest be?
Some random common hyper-fixation? Bombs? Machinery? madoka? I'd like to spread some propaganda for my personal theory: Ballet
When we looked inside her soul gem in Rebellion not only her witch, but what was happening in the world around her was themed around the ballet performance of the Nut-Cracker. When she was dancing in her magical girl transformation her moves where ballet moves. Obviously there's also Madoka being a ballerina in the concept movie, though the concept movie also depicts tons of references to another ballet, Swan Lake. In order to understand what's going on in her worlds in the first place I had to read up on ballet performances a lot
Similarly to how Octavia's labyrinth has the music Sayaka loves and Charlotte's labyrinth has the sweets Nagisa loves, I think Homulily's labyrinth and Homucifer's universe she personally re-made (or whatever that is) has the ballet that Homura loves
All I want is for someone out there to adopt the same head-canon and maybe create fan-work where Homura has a ballet hyper-fixation that's all I want please please please please-
I would also like to note that autistic people can have multiple special interests so we don't have to fight we can all be correct ok

But yeah Homura is such a great character. I love the way they twisted the uncaring character trope with her a lot. She seems like she is the completely uncaring character, but actually she cared the whole time. She cared a lot. It's just that now she can hide it better than when she was Moemura. She seems like she's a strong veteran who cares for no-one, but really she isn't that powerful, she just wants everyone to be safe, and she got a crush on this nice girl that said her name was cool. Deep down, in her core, she is silly
Someone once said "the hyper-realistic teeth are such a jump-scare" and I agree. BUT LET'S FOCUS these mgs keep showing their bottom teeth, which is because homulily was missing a jaw so they are either trying to find homulily or are hostile towards her and wouldn't be friendly towards her if they ever found out who she was disguised as. Given how the purple haired Homura has the patterns of the gloominess clara doll, this would mean that they might be rebelling? Or Homura left them for some reason and they're trying to get her back?
Why is the very purple haired Homura wet? Maybe she shouldn't have been standing on that fountain all the time
People have been saying this is Homura's sleeve and Sayaka's glove. I've also heard people say "Homusaya is great but they're probably fighting" but like.... why are they gently intertwining their fingers like that? I know Sayaka is seemingly backed up against a wall but it doesn't look like they're fighting idk maybe I'm just too yuri pilled
