Funded by State Street Global Advisors (now State Street Investment Management), a Boston-based investment firm, as part of a campaign promoting gender diversity in corporate leadership and its SHE index fund.

It was designed to draw attention to the lack of women in corporate leadership and encourage companies to put more women on their boards.
