I keep starting books and not finishing them. It’s fine. Anyway my next thought was thinking about rereading The Odyssey before the movie comes out. I have read and own the Fagles translation but should I read a different one for my reread? Please advise

after making a heartfelt story about how my mom should have been able to experience her birthday today I immediately saw an ad for a giant shirt dress centered around the luteal phase and “luteal survival” and what this dress has to help you get through it and now I am so irate. this is exactly the issue with Big Luteal and Big Perimenopause, it’s all a capitalism psy-op!!! and these ads etc disrupt your natural emotional state!

I went to see Disclosure Day today. It was not good but it was still somehow intriguing. There was way too much bad CGI. This movie should have been up my alley. Love alien stuff. Anyway all I got out of this was thinking that I need Josh O’Connor to envelop my tiny hands with his extremely large ones

The content of Europeans experiencing specifically American things (gallons of milk, free refills, complimentary bread, pajamas in public) for the first time is delightful to me. I love their bewilderment. America is quite bewildering!

I have a high school reunion tonight and I was trying on a bunch of dresses from my closet last night to figure out what to wear. Some of them juuuuust fit (with some off spots), others are too snug. And it was making me feel bad about my body. Then I got dressed for tennis today and I put on these (biker? legging? Idk) shorts I haven’t worn since last year that both look and feel good! And it reminded me that there’s nothing wrong with my body, it’s just the clothes. I’ve outgrown them as I’ve gained at least thirty pounds in the last few years and it’s ok. Also quite frankly clothes are poorly made and we all know this. I’m perfectly fine! As much as I’d like to wear the more fun eye catching dresses I have, I will just keep it lowkey and wear a plain dress that fits me well and is comfortable and won’t be worrying me the whole night.

Love Island USA made me very upset tonight I’m so pissed at the America vote!!!!!!!
