Robecca's rocket boots! I felt they deserved their own post, so you can see the details better.

These took a long time to paint, but it was worth it. As much as I loved the bright penny color, it was a bit too much and the amazing sculpting was hard to see. I hope I did them justice with the colors I chose. A lot of thought went into picking them, I wanted them to really compliment Robecca and her outfit.

I repainted her face, blushed her body and painted in all the detail on her accessories. I experimented with sealants and used glossy testors as a thin final layer on her body. It really worked! Just one layer didn't make her shiny, instead it gave her a gorgeous glow. 

I wanted to greet all my new followers and thank everyone who has reblogged or commented on my dolls. I really really appreciate it! 

I'm sorry that I don't always reply, I'm really bad at that and am trying to improve. But I do read all your words and they make me so happy. You always put a smile on my face and make my day!  :)

Sorry, I don’t have a tutorial. I’m planning on making another wig soonish, so I’ll try and post some pictures of the process. In the meantime there are lots of fabulous tutorials already out there on both rerooting and wig making! 

Here’s a video on removing the head and hair of a monster high doll. It’s pretty easy as long as you warm up the vinyl first and putting it back on is the same. Removing the hair can be tedious, so I usually watch a movie while I work. Long needle nose pliers or locking forceps are the best tools to use. If theres a lot of glue in the head, scraping around the inside with a screwdriver or something similar can help loosen up the glue.

Here’s a good video showing how to reroot with the tension method. I don’t loop the hair like that, though. Like she says make sure to glue when you're done and let it dry before you pop the head back on. I use fabric glue so it’s waterproof, I like Aleenes fabric fusion. 

And you don't have to buy a reroot tool. I made mine by cutting off part of the eye of a needle at a slant and sticking it in an exacto knife handle. Buy a pack of needles, they trend to break but higher quality ones last longer. And use strong wire cutters, they have some good ones in the floral section at a craft store! 

Here’s the start of a video series thats just beginning on making wigs by Andreja. Very helpful! Though again I would recommend using waterproof fabric glue rather than pva glue.

As a little extra gift, I made Frankie her own magical girl wand! It’s made with polymer clay and acrylic paint. The little lightening bolt glows in the dark some, but I couldn’t capture it on my camera.
