They say that, once a circle of salt is dashed, even a little bit, even a mere centimeter, anything is now allowed into that space.
Sometimes, that 'anything' is a very curious, yet so destructive and hard-to-control creature. One with many claws, one with boils and warts and scar constantly bubbling across its skin, one with jagged teeth and intense polycoria.
One that was so young and clueless, and one that happily took on someone else's name for him; Rodger.
One made in his image.

OOC under cut
heyo, heyo, heyo! I considered making this blog a little ago and other people making Endacopia blogs too gave me a little push towards it.. like it says in the blog description this used to be a LORP blog so, forgive any confusion that may or may not come from that. I am also changing up my style a little in how I do these, as I usually just have an in character and ooc tag only, but for this one I'm trying out asks/rp chain/other/ooc
Do not test me. any suspicious activity in my askbox will force me to turn anon asks off like I did for my other blogs. If you even read my intro posts, person this is specifically targeted towards, that is. Leave us the fuck alone.
my rulelist
extra mentions:
obviously this is a HEAVY spoiler blog for Endacopia so beware
this is. mentally and kind of physically a child. the mention in the rulelist above about minor flirting and shipping is completely null in this case. also that rulelist is very lookoutside oriented so don't mind the mentions of names or things you may not know
I headcanon that Rodger can mimic voices, so you may see that in rp chains or asks! which I'll probably do different text colors for to be honest.. I'll probably think of a bunch more headcanons for the big guy so look out for that ^^
I am trying my BEST to imitate his typing quirks please I'm about to be CRUCIFIED
I don't think there's an official Endacopia rp blog tag like there is for LORP so I'll just maintag this post and then use "#endacopia rp" for the rest of my IC posts
tags!:
>#what's cookin' good lookin'? = ANSWERING ASKS
>#get out of my way punk! = RP CHAIN
>#you've got a stupid face loser = OTHER (ie. stand-alone posts or non-ask starts of rp chains)
>#ost track 60 fyi = OOC
^ eheheh... see, they're the dialogue options mellow says when he's talking to the mirror... and track 60 is rodger's bossfight theme... hahh

Exploring was a funny thing, yes. Seeing areas from angles he only wished to have before. It seemed like the vents were his ticket to such freedom. After his interaction with Mister Clockey, at least. Other people lived here. Other than him and Other Rodger. And they were nice! It excited him.
He had no problem climbing downwards in the vents. That's what the claws were for, right? And he could see an opening, so it was worth it, to somewhere new! He did kinda sound like a skittering mouse in the process, though. A really big mouse.
The first thing he was met with was the top of a fridge. Oh. Ooohhhhhhh. Right! Other Rodger told him about this! How he snuck around to get food for himself. This must be how. How fun! Maybe he could get a snack in here...? Two sharpened hands meet the cold metal. He wasn't completely out of the vent, no, not at all. Just his head poking out. Slow and steady, right?
@made-in-your-image
Henry felt tired as hell, and honestly it sucked. An few hours prior he had gotten his shit rocked by that fuckass clock, scratched him pretty bad to. He still felt so tired from that whole fight.
Because of that, he was gonna get some ice, mainly because of the fight (and to maybe chew).
God, his head hurt badly, so badly in fact he barely noticed the weird noises as he entered the kitchen.
" ugh, stupid fucking clock. . Can barely focus now because of it. "
He makes a little gasp seeing the big lizard. Woah. Another person. Another friend! Maybe!
...
...he feels like he's heard something about this from Other Rodger. Something about some sort of lizard. He told him lizards were scaly and had weird eyes. He looked scaly. And he had weird eyes. That checked out. He remembered that the lizard around here was 'a weirdo' and stuff.
His front hands went to grip the corner of the top of the fridge, leaning forwards to get a better look. More hands followed, either on the ceiling or on the fridge as well. Should he say hi? Or keep quiet? Hmmmmm.
Word he didn't know. Mmmm. It sounded violent. Aggressive. He didn't like that word. To each their own, he guessed?
He wanted to get closer. Get a better look. His body was starting to develop out of night vision before, now that he was out of the mirror. Made it harder to see. He wanted to meet this big weirdo lizard. Had to wriggle around a bit, but he was able to crawl further out. He reaches for the closest thing to the fridge for balance, which happened to be the shelf next to it, and--
Words couldn't describe the screech Henry made when he heard something hit the ground. He had turned around so quickly he bumped into the switch and-
Click
He saw it. . . He had no clue what he was looking at.
It looked like the boy, but- god. . . It looked so out of place and uncanny. Even with his poor vision he knew this 'thing' wasn't the runt of the boy he was familiar with.
Startled, he accidentally shoots up and bonks his head on the ceiling, ow. And looses his grip on the shelf. And slips out from the vent. So. All of those combined kinda made him. Fall.
He hit the counter first, and then rolled onto the floor. A splatter of something not quite blood followed him, making everything it touched just gross. And he was pretty big, so. A lot of area become gross all of the sudden.
He writhes for a moment, hissing, both out of pain and being spooked. A few of his hands spontaneously grew sixth fingers as he was trying to orient himself again.
His head raises, and his eyes open fully again. His eyes were rolled back in his head for just a moment, before rolling back to look to the big lizard. Each pupil. He had so many. A few of them were undergoing mitosis in real time. His hat was bent as well. Bummer. Had to straighten that out, lest it be stuck like that for days, while wounds oozing pus and gross healed over again.
are youw... the lizarrd... other rodger told mme abowt?
First things first. Other Rodger didn't give more info on the lizard other than those few tidbits. He just wanted to make sure. His voice was slightly shaky, a little quieter than usual. Because of falling over, of course. That kinda does things to people. He didn't want to move yet.
Despite what he remembered from Other Rodger's demeanor about the lizard, he showed no fear towards him. Just curiosity. The want to learn more new things.
Henry paused for an moment, should he really be indulging this thing's curiosity? He didn't really have any other clear choice. (Wait did that thing refer to the boy as Rodger?)
" I-I. . . Yeah? What about it? " He mumbled after an moment.
this thing was weird as well to him, it looked like an animal. But it wasn't like it could actual hurt him, right?
Could've sworn he puffed up a little, by the scruff.
huuhh... he towld me youu... were kinda wweird.
Complimentary head-tilt. Now that he thoroughly had his grip on the tile crevices, he felt more comfortable getting it over with and getting closer. He dragged the blue part of his body behind him, leaving a trail of gross behind, like a slug.
I never met youw before. and I truwst other rodger.
It was very true! Both things! He wasn't a liar, after all. He raises himself up, making just a little distance between them, but now being at eye level. Made him feel better after having the blood rushing to his head in the vent. Or something.
His hat was back to normal now. The first thing his newly-freed hands did was scratch at a particularly protruding bump on his face. It was a little itchy. Had to keep them busy somehow. It pops, and he wipes the blood- it WAS blood this time- off his cheek.
He licks the blood off his claws. It was done without thinking- Other Rodger used to say that leaving blood around his room would surely get in him trouble somehow. Just the blood, because it stained more than the rest of the things that came out of him. His eyes narrow and his body curls, in a way that said he was momentarily distracted.
other rodger ssawd that he didn't like youuw.
His eyes widen again. Back to normal, in the creepiest way possible. The way he stared at him was intense, like he was picking up on every single move, every single twitch. He's been asking a lot of questions.
He did not respond to his demand. In fact, he finished cleaning off his hand completely. He didn't see why not. It's not like it was poison. Usually.
wwhy do you keep... not answeerring my qwuestions?
He leans closer again. His blood seems to clot and dry very quickly. Still, he keeps picking at it. The scratch marks were very obvious on his skin. He found his avoidance odd. No wonder Other Rodger called him a weirdo.
Really honing in on that childlike ignorance. Next up for the gory display; remember those extra fingers he grew? Those were getting suspiciously itchy now that he was calm again. And he really wasn't used to having that many fingers.
Scratch, scratch, scratch. It's what the sharp claws were for.
Henry couldn't help himself from doubling over and vomiting at that point. How could he? Seeing it scratch off it's own extra fingers (which Henry just noticed) was the final straw for what little self control he had.
His throat burned so badly from it, his vision blurry from how watery his eyes were. It wasn't until his eyes cleared up that he realized-
That. Was also new. To him. He stopped mid-scratch, letting one of his fingers hang there half-detached, like a broken branch from a tree. The extra finger didn't seem to have any bones. Did it hurt? Uh. Not really. There might not be nerves in there neither. Whatever just came out of his mouth didn't seem to be blood. He knew that could happen sometimes. But it wasn't blood. Hmmm. It didn't seem like a good thing.
...iss that why?
At least he wasn't staring into his soul now?? And instead at the vomit? Is that worse or better?
He looks back at the lizard once, and there's blood on his mouth. The dangling finger was gone off his hand. Is he just hungry.
oookkkaaayyyy...
With his height, it was pretty easy to reach up to the cabinets. Though it was weird to be so upright. He felt like... like........ like a penguin.
Step one. Cup. Step two. Beef jerky. That was in a different cabinet than the cups. Don't scratch either of them. Even if he's hungry, apparently.
Step three. Figure out how to turn on the sink. While he was doing that, one hand held the beef jerky out for him. Not one of his fingers WEREN'T sharp, it seemed.
" Thanks " Henry muttered, hesitantly grabbing the bag from this thing.
He wasn't really sure on what to do at this point, he still felt sick to his stomach and this thing sure as hell had an upper hand against him with it's. . . Everything. Also his kitchen was an mess from earlier.
It seemed at this point all he could do was play along and hope this thing didn't get curious on touching him.
When water started pouring from the sink, he jumped back, as if he just was Not Expecting That. What'd. What'd he think would happen.
He approaches the sink again. Turns the thing back to where it was. The water stops. Then he turns the other one, and the water starts again. They both make the water? Is there a difference? Does the lizard have a preference???
" There should be one that's blue, turn that one. Don't even turn the red one at all. " Henry awkwardly explained, too focus on trying to open the bag of beef jerky in the wrong way to pay attention at this point.
God, this situation was weird as hell, but at least for now things were tame.
He looks back at them. The first one he turned was the blue one. Oooookay. He. Nods.
...
The time it took for him to fill the cup was very awkward. But the cup DID get filled!
herwe you go..,,
He holds the cup out with two hands. Patiently waiting for him to take it. How polite. He still has an extra finger or two to get rid of. How polite. He's washing the bloody stump out in the sink now. How polite.
Henry awkwardly took the cup from this thing. At this point he had managed to open the beef jerky bag, but he had an idea. He was gonna try to tame this thing.
" So uh, have you ever had beef jerky before? " he awkwardly asked, setting the cup down gently. His free hand had grabbed an pair of tongs from the counter. It took him an second but he fished an big piece of jerky from the bag with said tongs before presenting it to the creature.
" Try it. " he said, pointing the tongs at the thing.
Blink. Blink. His eyelids were at weird angles again.
He sniffs the beef jerky. His... neck, supposedly, was craned downwards like a swan's. This guy likes to be a lot of animals, huh.
Then he grabbed onto the tongs- don't think he'll let those go anytime soon- and started to bite at the offering. Those were some teeth... it ripped into the meat with ease. Hmmmmmm. Not sure how to feel about this one, but maybe that's just because it's a very new taste to him.
" Damn you're eating that up. " Henry muttered, watching this thing absolutely eat the beef jerky. He didn't dare try to pull the tongs away, mainly for his own safety.
Damn, it was really eating it up faster than expected. If Henry didn't know better he would try to pet it, but he wasn't an dumbass, plus this thing was clearly hungry.
He's... actually not sure how long it's been since he's eaten actual food. Huh. All that change takes energy, he supposed. Physically and mentally. Mostly physically. Even if the taste wasn't his favorite.
When the jerky was gone, he settled for the tongs instead, licking any remnants off of them and chewing on it. A bit more pressure and he's probably start bending the metal.
Jesus, it was already done. . . Henry was gonna need something bigger for this thing. . . Wait, he still had defrosted chicken on the oven (even if said stove was tipped over), could this thing eat raw meat?
He looks back at him. Then his head twists to the oven. It almost looked like he had no bones in there at all, but that wasn't possible. Right?... Ouugghhhh now that he had his stomach half-full, he was getting cravings. He feels extra teeth growing in.
He was... GOING to grab it with his hands, but his teeth snagged the meat first. So. Carrying it over to him like a dog, basically, yeah.
Oh. Ooohhh. Tongs. Tongs equal eat. Okay! He sets the rest of the chicken down on the floor. There were some big tooth marks in the chicken's flesh.
With him being Gross himself, the sliminess and grease on the meat didn't faze him. Nomnomnomnomnomnom. Blelelelelelelelelelel. He didn't seem to notice, but his neck was prickling up again. Did hunger cravings count as being nervous? Maybe, to be completely fair. He was tugging on the meat and tongs a little.
Henry wasn't sure how long he spent feeding this creature, but by the time this thing had eaten the last piece of raw chicken (god damm) the vomit stain on the kitchen floor had dried up.
Henry wasn't expecting this thing to eat this much or this quickly.
Surely this wouldn't have any negative effects, would it?
There were some imperfections on the tongs now. He didn't feel completely satisfied, but mostly satisfied was fine enough. At the moment, he was taking the time to groom and clean off his face. Either by hands or by tongue. He looked more like a lounging cat at the moment.
...Then he looks back to him.
arrre yoooou... fewling better now? can youw answr questions now?
Henry paused for an moment. Fuck he completely forgot about the question thing.
" You know what, I'll answer THREE of your questions. " he admited, determined to still have at least some control over the situation while keeping this thing at bay.
Was this a new game? If it was, he thinks he likes it. He's gotten food AND new things!
ummmm,,,
He's supposed to choose his words carefully for these kinds of games, right? That's how they work? His gaze absently wanders as he thought, and when he thought of the right phrasing, he looks back.
wwhy dows other rodger think of yyou llike that? like what I sawd before?
Shit, already getting hit with an difficult one, he was really gonna have to word his response carefully, mainly to avoid getting mauled.
" W-Well, the boy tends to get into trouble alot, so I end up having to. . Discipline him. He doesn't like it but it'll do him well. " he tried to explain, hoping his answer would satisfy this thing.
Another word he didn't know. Another word he didn't like the sound of... now that he thought about it, is that why Other Rodger called him 'mean' before...?
dis... discipluh... discipline. what does thawt mean?
He's pretty sure he got the pronunciation right. Worst cast scenario, just copying his voice would get the point across, right? Curiosity can kill more than just the cat sometimes.
He didn't think Other Rodger did anything too bad, did he? That... that didn't seem fair. He was in his room really often. Playing with him, or drawing, or on his computer, as he learned to call it...
ssounds... strange.
...At least... until he... until...
Suddenly, his demeanor changed quite a bit towards the lizard. Mostly shown by his hands- finding minds of their owns again- scratching at the floor.
...w...
wwhat did youw do to... duh- discipline other rodger?
Henry's demeanor changed at that question. Sure he allowed this thing 3 questions but it didn't mean he had to be completely honest.
" Don't worry about that, just some old fashioned discipline stuff. This ain't stuff an good boy like you should know. " he muttered, glancing away from the creature.
" Now, I know you wanna ask another question but good boys don't break the rules. "
His eyes were staring again. They felt less inquisitive and more... provoked.
thhe rules were thawt you answr the questions. why can youw break th rules but I cawn't?
His voice became less excited, less happy. More monotone. His neck began to straighten as well. Which was better than being coiled up, like a snake ready to strike, but. Instead of straightening it upwards, it was towards him again. Not as close as last time, but definitely closer.
Okay, this thing was smarter than expected, and it was pissing him off.
" Because im an grown up, and your an kid, Plus- " One of Henry's hands grabbed at one of this things many hands, not hard yet but enough to give warning.
Those claws DO have minds of their own, like he thought. As it grabbed his back, digging the sharp tips into his skin and scales. They didn't seem to enjoy holding back any punches (err, scratches, in this case).
youw didn't answer the lawst one,
Even if the lizard was big, he was pretty big too. Even if Other Rodger was afraid of him, he wasn't. He wasn't afraid of a lot of things. He knew that because Other Rodger's called him 'brave' before.
I thinnk I gewt it now. other rodger did say grown-uwps wwere mean and weird.
He growls, baring his teeth. The moment he recovered from being pushed, he was approaching him again. The puffs on his skin looked more like plenty of small, needle-like spikes.
mean! mean, mean, mean!
For the first time in a long while, Rodger looked angry.
what did youuw do tow other rodger? whhat did you do?
He did something to him. He knows he did. Guilty. Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty. He didn't have too much of a grasp on injury and hurt, but he knew it was bad for people. It didn't affect him that much, but he knew it did for other people, and it was bad. Very bad.
That same scuttling and scratching noise filled the air from behind him. It was faster, intense. Other Rodger was his very favorite person. He didn't like it when his favorite people were sad, or hurting. He hurt him. He hurt him and he wasn't saying sorry.
guiwlty! guilty guilty GUIWLTY GUILTY GUILTY
He reaches for him, grabbing and ripping and scratching and drawing blood- getting bloody wasn't something he was scared of either.
SAY SOWRRY. SAY SORRY.
Then his mouth went for him. Those extra teeth didn't leave. He just needed to get a grip on his flesh, similar to the chicken.
He was mid-bite when he heard his rushed, panicked words. He paused, thinking, before going through with it and ripping off some of his flesh. The needles along his skin met his scales.
You'd expect him to continue mauling him, but. He didn't. He backed away, now soaked in lizard blood.
YOou... better. meawn that.
While scuttling back to the doorway, he was picking at the piece of skin he stole. Ripping individual scales off. He could've gone away faster, but...
Exploring was a funny thing, yes. Seeing areas from angles he only wished to have before. It seemed like the vents were his ticket to such freedom. After his interaction with Mister Clockey, at least. Other people lived here. Other than him and Other Rodger. And they were nice! It excited him.

He's... actually not sure how long it's been since he's eaten actual food.
@made-in-your-image

Jesus, it was already done. . . Henry was gonna need something bigger for this thing. . . Wait, he still had defrosted chicken on the oven (even if said stove was tipped over), could this thing eat raw meat?

@made-in-your-image

@made-in-your-image

He saw it. .

He saw it. .
