I had a nightmare last night.

I was a reporter.

It’s okay and understandable if you get a little jealous because someone you admire doesn’t seem to notice things you do on social media. I get jealous sometimes, it’s only human.

What ISN’T EVER OK is sending hate, threats, and rude comments toward the person being noticed. Stop. They most likely didn’t even believe they were going to get noticed. However, now you brought them guilt and shame for something they should be happy and proud about. We have enough hate in the world, we don’t need it in our community.

Also, don’t be obnoxious. One day they’ll notice you. There is just so much good and bad that it’s hard to sift through. But one day you’ll stand out. And it’ll all be worth it. They probably have seen your stuff already, even if you don’t realize it.

Knowing that some people give others shit for them getting noticed ruins the fun of it all. Why would you wish badly upon someone because of that? Please don’t be that kind of person. On the flip side, please also don’t be the type of person to gloat, showoff or rub it in others faces for getting noticed either, that’s equally shitty.

We’re all here to have fun and just enjoy our time together and elevate one another. Not tear each other apart and bring others down. If that’s how you want to act then I don’t want to know you or have you as part of this community and I’m sure many others feel the same.
