Byron was beautiful but expensive. 

Today I thought I’d be a big man and plan my own route to Murwillumbah. Said screw you google you don’t know shit, and picked a route that seemed shorter than the one google was suggesting. What a mistake. What google took into account that I didn’t was the fucking hills. Sooo many hills. And of course the last hill was a literal mountain surrounding a volcanic crater. About a third of the way up, I was cursing my distrust of google maps when lo and behold! A sweet old man and his dog stopped and gave me a ride to the top! Lotta good eggs here folks. Was it worth it to get the first picture you might ask? No definitely not. This hostel is my favourite so far tho.
