ive been on hiatus for about a month now and i think the break has been good for me. on the other hand, i am finally coming to terms with the fact that i don’t like roleplaying anymore. i still like writing, and i love generator rex and rex himself, but doing replies on top of schoolwork is too stressful for me and i always feel guilty if i dont get to my drafts fast enough. i dont want to do something thats going to put me in a bad place.
im so thankful to my mutuals and all my followers for being patient with me on my leave, but i think its time for me to officially declare this blog inactive. i will keep to my promise before, though, and leave the blog intact as an archive for my writing as rex. ill miss the threads i had of gwen/rex, and with the b10 blogs, mado, and everyone else, but i rly do believe- after a lot of time off and a lot of thinking, thx -that this is the best thing for me to do.
so this is goodbye again. thank u all for supporting me!! i rly do love u guys. dont be afraid to get in contact, and who knows, you might still see me around writing fanfics ;)

honestly u guys iM GONNA CRY YALL ARE ALWAYS SO SUPPORTIVE... and all i can say is thank you. i spent a lot of time thinking about this decision and i think the thing that i was most worried about was how my followers would react but like. ur all so good to me. thank u for the support. pls id love to stay in touch no matter what happens!!
ok. so ive been kind of holding in some feelings for now about rping. im going to post this under the cut cos it might get lengthy but pls do read it bc if youre following me rn, you should know this.
tldr; im going to go on hiatus, and i might not be coming back. in which case this blog will remain intact, but be inactive and serve as an archive for all of my threads.
starting off, ive been rping rex since 2013, and thats pretty solid. i have the longest running active gen rex rp blog. im almost to 1k followers- which is amazing, bc first of all i love YOU GUYS and im so surprised i got this many, and secondly, i dont even think there are that many people who know of/watch gen rex. ive never had this many mutuals on any of my other rp accounts. rex has tons of friends, even a girlfriend!! i mean wow
but i still?? ive been feeling kind of detached from this account for almost the past month. i still love generator rex, and rex himself. i guess i still even have muse left to write for him but like. i just cant. ive lost the motivation. reblogging inbox memes and replying to threads and engaging in crazy ooc stuff just doesnt appeal to me that much anymore. its sad, and i miss being on this account and feeling like im actually having fun.
i have different interests now. i want to write for my own ocs, but i dont want to rp. i think ive outgrown that. i really want to improve my art and be more social and play volleyball and all these other things.
tbh i probably would have to declare this account inactive by grade 11, if not earlier, so that i could concentrate on my studies. and im a little sad that ive come to this decision earlier. youve all probably noticed how many hiatuses ive taken before, though, so i feel like im making the right choice. im so sorry to all my rp partners. u have all been so supportive and helpful and fun to be around and i feel awful for dumping all this on u guys and cutting short all of our threads but honestly ive been having doubts about rping since the start of this year and i just didnt want to say anything.
BUT LIKE I SAID. ITS A HIATUS. it is temporary. given everything i just said above, yea, theres a 50 - 50 chance i might quit rping for good. thats my own decision though. ive pushed myself to keep doings things before that i didnt want to and i ended up in a rly bad slump for almost half of a year and i absolutely do not want to to that again. please, please be thoughtful and understand that i need some time off!!
i will still remain active on my personal, as well as on my skype (shadi.avocado). u can talk to me there or ask me questions about the break im taking or just scream gen rex hcs at me I DONT CARE. mutuals can even ask for my snapchat or instagram. i just dont want to lose the meaningful relationships ive made on this account!!

“I mean… I dunno- The last time I sang publicly was like when I was four. But a couple of my friends told me that I was pretty decent so it’s just a question mark for me now.” He gave an exaggerated shrug.

ruder than Rex had intended, anyways. He just meant
that.. well, with his amnesia troubles, he really might not remember.
“Watch your language, young man. You know I don’t like that.” The bandit scolded, his mood turning on a dime.
“And I just said you were in the way. If you’d just stay out of the way- or better yet accept my generous proposals- we wouldn’t have had a problem. Simple things, Rex. Very simple things.”

“Naw, she’s not friends with him. The ninja doesn’t just pal around with anybody, you know.” Though it took him a moment that the ninja would be more likely to pal around with Heidi than with Randy.
[ ♚ ]— “I’ve literally never heard of any of that tech before. In my life. And trust me- I’m a huge tech guy.” Rex deadpanned. He folded his arms, reflecting on the new info. So.. McFist really did dominate his town. He hadn’t even been there for more than half an hour and the guy’s presence already stood out as smothering- no, suffocating to him.
“..No offense, but Heidi sounds like a real elite, and if the ninja doesn’t hang out with her, than why...?” Does he know you? Rex wanted to ask, but bit his tongue and refrained from the question.
❝Stop. Stop.❞ She had no idea what he was on about, but it was clear that he wasn’t getting it. This was just a mess and she was beginning to wish that she hadn’t mentioned fusion to him. ❝What you’re misunderstanding is that this is not a means of reproduction. It’s something we use to become stronger in grave situations–Just, look.❞ With a sigh, she turned her back to him.
Her gem began to glow, and then began projecting a hologram of herself and another Gem. They begin a simple waltz while she narrates. ❝To begin with, we dance. It can be tricky. Everyone has their own style of dance and it can be hard to synchronize and synchronization is key in fusion. Both parties need to want to fuse as well or it won’t work. When both Gems are synced and if both want to fuse, then…❞ The hologram Lapis spins the other Gem out and then back in, holding her close to her chest as the two fuse into a four-armed giant woman. ❝We become one. And what’s created is an entirely new Gem, more powerful than the two who created it.❞
[ ♚ ]— He briefly wondered if the ‘just look’ was more of sarcastic comment by Lapis than a helpful one- like, look, I’m turning my back to ignore you because you’re just not getting this -but then her gem started to glow. Out of habit, Rex scooted back slightly. His eyes widened as the other Gem came into view, and then he was moving closer again, leaning in because he could tell that the girl was about to do something majorly cool and he did not want to miss it.
“Whoa.” It was the first word that came to mind, and incidentally, the first one to leave his mouth after Lapis and the hologram fused. Fitting, though, wasn’t it? “Okay, you were right.” Rex gave the tiniest shake of his head. “That wasn’t what I thought- or expected -fusing to be like at all.” It seemed a lot less.. organic? If that was the right word. It was graceful, but still held a sort of calm, quiet power even he wasn’t oblivious to- and if anything, it was more similar to the Super Sentai. “Can only Gems fuse?”
