I've never heard it in person but this particular mental anguish (dramatic hyperbole mostly) feels like the sounds made by massive frozen lakes when there's a temperature change or ??? whatever causes ice to do that. I think it may not actually have anything to do with thawing but for metaphor's sake let's say it's like a lake is thawing after being frozen over all winter & it's making these thunderous cracking booming ringing sounds
I do think having a little trampoline in my apartment will be good for me. like rn I'm stuck unmotivated to do anything or go anywhere but feeling sort of agitated & fidgety in a way that I know would be helped by doing some nonsense like jumping around a bunch
grief.... 😭😭😭😭 experiencing nice things now is making me sad about all the time I spent not experiencing any of those things. wahhhh
ughhh I should have some lunch but nothing sounds good. well actually.. plenty of things do sound good but none of the things I have on hand and I Don't wanna go shopping right now

hm. hang on
ok. so. notably I did Not learn to read particularly early as far as I know, but this description of like.. the ways hyperlexic kids gain language skills & the difficulties they have fits to a t. from what I can remember anyway
I was learning the scientific names of plants when I was like 2 or 3 (or younger? I honestly don't know). not reading them but being taught through spoken word, & according to my dad I even identified a kind of tree from a distance that he had to check up close to verify & found that I'd got it right. no one taught me that one, ornamental pear tree. I mention this because of the 'large vocabulary & ability to identify many objects' thing.. like I got into plant identification because my dad began teaching me that really young but then when I was about 5 I began birdwatching & identifying birds with pictures in a field guide before I'd even learned to read the words. my god I forgot about that... from what I remember I would find a picture that matched the bird I saw & ask someone to tell me what it was called. I wanted to know the names of things so badly.
as for struggling with the rules of language & having social difficulties etc and learning to speak by memorizing phrases and also using echolalia/palilalia (that is, echoing someone else, or echoing your own speech) And also having difficulties with asking questions. god. bizarrely these traits are part of what has always drawn me to singing. I learned not to echo aloud anymore in everyday speech but the impulse is still there and that's part of why I'm good at imitating singers & picking up new accent sounds
unclear on the uhh listening/verbal working memory/ reading comprehension.. it's possible I had/have issues with those but I don't know exactly
hm. hang on
