love how people will encourage people to just start making shit and see what happens when it comes to drawing and writing but when it comes to beginner musicians (music makers if you wish to be less formal) itβs just COMPLETE RADIO SILENCE. it feels like no one even knows you MAKE music it just sprouts up from the ground one day and some guy picks it up. am i alone in this dark cave

A lot of your favorite artists, mainly in electronic music, likely have done track breakdowns, you can watch those to learn how they do things.
DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) ultimately all do the same things, and Cakewalk is a great FREE fully fledged one. Sure it has some issues, and doesnβt have many plugins included, but it works just fine. All the music I released so far was made there, before I made the jump to Ableton.
As for VST plugins:
Vital is an excellent free synth
Native Instruments Komplete Start is a good free collection of plugins
TDR Nova is a great free EQ

Having good headphones is nice and what Iβd recommend you invest in first once it comes to it, but even your current ones will probably be fine, mainly if you slap AutoEQ onto them to flatten the frequency response. And ultimately, music isnβt all about the mixing, the most important part is conveying an emotion.
I know this goes against the spirit of the original post a little, but I want people to know that getting into music production also no longer costs thousands, you can just do it at home on your computer without no money.
Yeah, there is still quite the learning curve, I get that, though itβs also why itβs managed to hold me as a hobby for so long.
I do however have something of the exact opposite variety too, the most simple way to make music I know of, and a wonderful little semi-social experience, along the lines of the game Journey:

Arch awakes with a splitting headache. The floor is cold, lifeless, sterile. It feels...unnearvingly comforting to touch such an uncomfortable surface. He feels "at home".
He's not in heaven anymore...but how? If this is a dream, he is uncomfortably lucid for it. He doesn't remember if he ever had lucid dreams before. He doesn't remember if he had ever dreamed to begin with. He doesn't want to remember.
In. Out.
In.
Out.
Okay. Might aswell check this place out. Figure out why it feels familiar.
He helps himself up and onto his feet and looks around him. The darkness embraces him and welcomes his curiosity, his eyes well adjusted to those conditions. The walls are barren, made of concrete, with holes lined up in regular spacing. The ceiling has obvious lamps, yet none of them are on. There are no light switches to be seen anywhere.
Every detail he sees in the ceiling, on the walls, in the distance; they are all kisses that the nothingness plants on his eyes, overwhelming him for a moment before he collects himself.
He stands in the middle of a crossing and there are two corridors to take, but only in one of them he sees a light in the far distance; perhaps an open door. He shakes the darkness' love off of him and stalks towards the light.
Always towards the light.
It is indeed an open door. The light is low and diffused, but as he enters the room he learns that the source of the light is an array of monitors. They show various dark hallways and rooms. On one of them, the only one with light in the room, he sees himself. This must be a security room, however, it is vacant. Where's the security guard?
He looks at the slightly turned chair and ponders his next move for a moment. When his hand touches the polstery, he flinches. The seat is warm.
His pulse fastens and he tenses in alertness. He feels a shudder run through his spine. Someone was here. Someone was watching him.
"Long time no see.", a voice sounds from the door.
Arch wakes up with cold sweat and a feeling he hates to name: fear.
