I was curious as to if the Japanese variants of Thriller also came with their own exclusive posters, of course they did! Get ready for my morning MJ yap ☕
I just think it's really cool that this is very accurate to the Billie Jean theme/the MJ aesthetic that had him take off in Japan. I was wondering if he would have the exact outfit pictured here (like the outfit he's wearing in one of my Australian variants), but Japan specifically gave out these posters with the album:
But if you look at the original Japanese cover for Thriller (+the single version), it's very much in this colour & style! I love the way he pops alongside the more yellow/gold colour scheme. And I'm just a sucker for vinyl variants throughout history, especially the extremely cool ones that often come from Japan. It's interesting to see the poster I have, did end up on the '82 picture disc release!
